If you don't mind, please bow down and arrange yourself in a neat orderly line so that I can punish you all for my own entertainment." Then this giant blue glowing nudist shows up. "I'm this world's protector. You are not welcome here." "Look fella, I'm a God. So I'm sure you're all new to this, and I'm guessing since you're just glowing with energy that you're not used to being the little guy. It's fine. It's just a transition you'll have to get used to. But since I'm a God, what I say goes, you know with all the pomp and glory," "But I do not believe in Gods," Manhattan replies. Darkseid pats his shoulder. "Well maybe not before now. But I assure you I'm quite real, or as they say on my planet, 'Darkseid is'..." "not." "What?" "Darkseid is not," Manhattan says, "Not a God." "Darkseid is." "Is not." "IS." "Is not." "IS!!!!!" "Rabbit Season." "Duck Season! FIRE!" Manhattan blasts Darkseid with a large ball of energy. There is a huff of smoke and the grey-faced god is left staring through the haze. "You're despicable...." --------------------- Darkseid vs Manhattan. No handicaps. They're fighting on earth if that matters but let's just say that the danger of harming human life is not a factor and its just a one on one throwdown between the deified evil and the cosmic atheist. Even if an Omega Beam could destroy Manhattan, couldn't a past incarnation of himself pop-up and resume the fight? Manhattan could only stop 60-90% of all the nukes fired across the world, infact nothing Manhattan does is really impressive at a cosmic level even being able to perceive tachyons, teleport, manipulate matter, alter size, create clones etx. Darkseid can do everything Manhattan can even better. He has telepathy, teleportation, avatar creation, matter manipulation and I recall he has time manipulation. He has gone up against Wonder Woman, Superman, various Kryptonians and even Green Lanterns. Manhattan pales to those. Darkseid could OE or use the anti life equation on Manhattan but it would'nt even need to come to that, remember what happened to Reality because of Darkseid?. As for this fight, Doc has the ability to reconstitute his atoms, but Darkseid's Omega Effect erases things from existence, it doesn't just scatter them. There would be nothing to reconstitute, so he could effectively kill Manhattan. Though if Batman managed to dodge them, I think Doc might be able to as well. Also to the best of my knowledge Darkseid's never been disintegrated, so it doesn't seem like he would be able to recover from that. At times he bleeds, and gives some indication that he is a corporeal form, so disintegration wouldn't be implausible. I'm leaning Manhattan, but either of them has the capacity to defeat the other, it's just about who would win 9 times out of ten. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Manhattan would turn most super-people into something annoying if he fought them. snip I agree, Darkseid could erase Manhattan from existence, but Manhattan has too many ways of avoiding that, and surely he would always be able to, seeing as he sees into his own future... You see when two boxes love each other very much, but one of the boxes is either burned or can't be bothered to raise some jive-ass kids, a motherbox is held responsible for raising the little cublings. But in all seriousness I don't know whether he has it because I'm unfamiliar with it. If it's the kind of thing that Darkseid always has on him, like batman with batarangs then sure. If it's more of a McGuffin that exists for occasional plot purposes and would be something he would have to go back to Apokolips to find then no.
