Guest skadoosh
This is a toughy. I'm pretty stumped. But probably Team 2.
DSkillz
What? No Rogue for Team 2? Her virtual deus ex machina powers in X-Evo really could've evened the odds here. Team 1 pretty much takes all three rounds here, especially round 3. Remember, with the possible exception of Cyclops, the members of X-Evo team are a good deal weaker than most of their counterparts in comics and animation, and they all (except maybe Wolverine) certainly lack their counterparts' combat experience. Static might make things interesting with his powers, and he and Gear could possibly even control Cyborg for a time. Overall, though, Team 2 is still vastly overpowered. As for Round 3, Raven just goes demonic and possibly kills everybody on both sides. Funny you should make this matchup, G4; I've had a possible arc or two floating in my head with these very universe in my for some time.
G4hardcore
I actually thought Rogue may have been too much, but when you put it that way... My thinking was that the versatility of the X folk would offset the firepower of team 1. For example, Shadowcat could possibly solo Cyborg, and Static could easily go toe to toe with Starfire. Cyclops has the force to knock out at least one member, and Jean could incapacitate one or more of team one. She also has her telepathy, to go against Raven. Iceman is not as powerful as his comic counterpart, but he could still do a lot of damage, or at the very least, binding. Though Katara and Aang would likely bend that ice, turning that tactic against him... Water, though, makes for a great conductor for Storm, Gear, and Static's electrical offense. And Spyke may or may not be much of a help, but his explosive projectiles would make for some potentially fatal obstacles. And Nightcrawler is a force as well, his porting is off the chain, dude. I'd love to see Robin and Wolverine, morals off. Heck, Static and Storm, morals off, could do some heavy, heavy damage. I have a feeling you have likely thought of most of what I said here on your own, but some memory jogging can't hurt.
G4hardcore
We probably share some favorites, D. I love all these franchises!
C.T.
Shadowcat, with morals off can just start ripping organs out of people and just about avoid every possible counterattack.
G4hardcore
Shadowcat, with morals off can just start ripping organs out of people and just about avoid every possible counterattack.Raven, and possibly Toph, could offput that tactic. Magic can hurt her in a phased state, and through earthbending, she could end up being swallowed by the ground to a depth sufficient to suffocate her, give or take a variable or two. Or she could run into a wall like she did in the show.
C.T.
Are they aware of each other's abilities? That's the only way I'd see Toph knowing to do that...while Shadowcat could know all of their enemies' abilities soon enough, thanks to their resident telepath Grey up there. G4hardcore
No, they are not aware of each other's abilities. So it isn't likely that Toph would just "know" to use that tactic. Perhaps a little trial and error amidst the fighting? Also, the Titans also have a telepath, possibly even telepathic protection against the young Jean.
