Match 12887 Bugs Bunny vs. Droopy

"So long screwy! See ya in St. Louey!"

That was Bugs Bunny, the hardest bunny to catch as he sped away in a moped. Who he was talking to was Elmer Fudd, his eternal rival. His latest plan went bust as usual and he was a little worse for wear. Namely he was in a smoldering heap, with nothing but his boxer shorts to prevent exposure.

"Come back hewe you wascal! I'll have you in my pot someday!"

That possibility may never happen, but for now he was too angry to care. Muttering utter his breath, he managed to crawl out of the hole that his Acme Rabbit Frier created and gathered his trusty rifle. Only that said rifle failed to fire when he tried to test it.

"Dag nabbit!"

He threw his weapon to the ground, which prompted his rifle to seek its revenge. The hunter ducked for dear life and checked for any serious wounds. Apparently, he was lucky.

"Phew. That was close." He grabbed his gun and a canister of water and went on his way, taking a sip from the canister. Unfortunately, the only thing that got quenched were the plants from the hole coming out of Elmer's back...

His travels led him to town, on his way to his home sweet home. But the walk did little to sooth his annoyance of the one rabbit that always got away. When one's clothes failed to return in toonland after a scene, you know that character's had a bad day.

"What do I keep doing wong? That pesky wabbit always seems to be two steps ahead of me," he babbled. "That Wabbit Fwier cost me a fowtune too..."

He looked to his canister for water again, only to find none.

"Ugh. And I'm still thiwsty." He threw the bottle in anger and made his way. And yet it seemed that even this peice of equipment wanted its revenge, slamming into the back of his head and into a a wall, courtesy of an unruly passerby

"What where you throw things you jerk."

"Oh yeah? Well..."

He stopped short of his outburst, drawing more attention to the poster that he slammed himself into. Removing himself from its imminent proximity, he began to read the content.

"The ultimate hunting dog at your sewvice 24/7/365 and on every leap day. For all your gaming needs, foxes, game biwds and... wabbit! Just call 1-800-Hounded..."

Going towards the nearest telephone booth, Elmer, with all his clothes back on, dialed in the numbers as he wrote them on a piece of paper.

"I wonder how long until I met this pooch."

It didn't take long at all because as Elmer walked out the booth, he bumped into a fairly small white dog with black hair. His face slouched extremely low and had the expression to match.

"Hello all you happy people," he spoke.

"Who else is thewe?" Elmer asked, scratching his head. "It's only me."

"It's nothing really. So I suspect you need help catching an animal? Maybe some... rabbit?"

Elmer looked puzzled at the remark. "Hey, how did you know?"

"Oh, that would mean ruining my secret. I don't think I would have a problem catching your rabbit."

"Awe you suwe? This is cewtainly no owdinawy wabbit."

"And I am no ordinary hound. He will be in this sack in no time." Somehow, he managed to bring a sack from behind his back. "Only 10 dollars, sir."

"Ten! But... oh all wight..." Elmer brought out what little money he had left on what may be the only thing that could defeat his foe...

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Meanwhile, this mischiveous rabbit at his usual tree stump, munching on his favorite dish: carrots.

"You know, that screwy hunter guy may be fun, but it's getting a bit old. I wonder if he'll ever learn he can never capture me?"

"He may not be able to, but I can."

As if out of nowhere the hound was standing right next to the rabbit, expressionless as usual. Bugs wasn't impressed and just laid his elbow on to of Droopy's head.

"Eh... what's up doc?" he spoke nonchalantly, with bits of carrot falling on the hound's head as he continued eating.

"I've been sent from Elmer Fudd to capture you."

"Ah, so the screwy hunter's learning after all. Too bad you're a bit out of your league buddy."

"Oh, I don't think so. In fact, you should just save the trouble and hop into my sack." With expert hands, he brought out his trusty sack.

"Oooh. That's a toughie." Finished with his snack, he placed a hand on this chin, the same arm that was using Droopy as support. "As a gentleman, I will give it to ya straight."

Just as fast, he laid a cigar to his mouth and lit it, hopping into the nearest rabbit hole. Droopy didn't even seem to care at the moment. "How saddeningly," he sighed, just as the cigar exploded.

Meanwhile, Bugs had hid rabbit hole plugged up just in case. "Poor fellow. He don't me very well." He grinned, a finger at his mouth as he spoke.

"Neither do you."

Bugs looked agast as that same dog appeared behind him, a match at hand. "You sure you're up to this?"

Bugs' look quickly became a sly grin. "Oh, you know this means war..."

Will Bugs be able to escape from Droopy's clutches, or will the hound be having his rabbit in the sack? Vote wisely CBUBers.

Heh, it's been awhile, pat. Good match and very good matchup. You have Elmer, Bugs, and Droopy just about spot on.

As for the match, the Toon Force is very strong in both Bugs and Droopy. Both are arguably at their best when they're mad.

For those not familiar with Droopy, here he is in full Toon Force:

And you don't want to get him mad:

Yes, both Bugs and Droopy are great when they get mad, but Bugs doesn't do so well when he gets flustered and frustrated:

This scenario is right up Droopy's alley. This difference here is going to be that Droopy never really gets either flustered or frustrated. I'd say Bugs is eventually going to get fed up with Droopy's persistance and constant evading of Bugs's traps and antics, and the dog will take the bunny in.

Skillz this is a classic match here. Using Droopy was a great idea. I remember him from the old cartoons because I had those videos and more. If anybody can catch Bugs and beat him at his own game its Droopy. Bugs Bunny's confidence may cost him in this match.

Heh, then as Bugs sits chuckling at a far-away location, Droopy, not pleased that Bugs cost him money, once again appears behind the wascally wabbit and says, "You know what? That makes me mad."

The beatdown ensues.

It's an idea I've had for a while now. I was wondering why no one has made this match yet.

It's a bit of a warmup before I get around with using other characters (and fix my eternal school computer problems).
