xLEGACYx
During the AVX story line these battles occurred. Some matchups were a little debated. Here are the fights and who do you believe would have actually won? Iron Man vs Magneto on Utopia (Ironman won) Thing vs Namor underwater (Thing won) Gambit vs Captain America in the Savage Land (Captain America won) Black Widow vs Magik on the Moon (Magik won) Colossus vs Spiderman in Latveria (Colossus won) Colossus vs Red Hulk on Utopia (Red Hulk won) Colossus vs Thing on the moon (Colossus won) Daredevil vs Psylocke on the rooftops of NY (Draw) Cyclops vs Captain America (Captain America won) Angel vs Hawkeye in the woods (Hawkeye won) Black Panther vs Storm in Wakanda (Black Panther won) All of the fights take place at their normal power level. None have the Phoenix force.

Guest skadoosh
Iron Man vs Magneto on Utopia - It depends what armor Iron Man has. Can you specify? Thing vs Namor underwater - I'd say Namor. He's a physical powerhouse and he's in his element. He might even be stronger than the Thing outside of water, but i'm not sure. Gambit vs Captain America in the Savage Land - I think Gambit's long ranged attacks would put down Cap, providing he hits him, and if not, and it becomes a close-combat fight, then Cap has a higher chance of winning, but one hit with a power-up staff and he's going down. Black Widow vs Magik on the Moon - I know very little about Magik, so i can't say. Colossus vs Spiderman in Latveria - If Spiderman throws enough crap at Colossus, or if he just webs him up a Helluva lot, then he could win. If Colossus gets up close, however, he could probably crush the Spider. Colossus vs Red Hulk on Utopia - After a while Rulk would win, providing he gets strong enough, and quickly enough. Colossus vs Thing on the moon - Colossus would win, after a decent fight. Daredevil vs Psylocke on the rooftops of NY - Daredevil could win as long as he doesn't get too mentally messed with too early on. Cyclops vs Captain America - Cyclops would win, pretty easily, with a big ol' laser blast. Angel vs Hawkeye in the woods - Hawkeye could win this, if he's stealthy, which he's capable of. Also, a forest puts Angel at a disadvantage. Black Panther vs Storm in Wakanda - Storm, obviously.

Guest skadoosh
I thought so, but i wasn't sure if the Thing had recently been amplified recently or something. You know how Marvel do.
xLEGACYx
So what do you all think about the comic results versus who you think should have won? The armor is what ever one was used in the AVX arc. @ NovaYou think Iron Man could beat Magneto on an island made of metal? In the consequences storyline even Stark said him beating Magneto was luck. C.T.
Sure, just hit him with some power nullifiers, stuff he had back in Civil War.
Guest bigballerju
1. Current Ironman would beat Magneto so that's correct.2. Namor would own Thing underwater.3. Gambit clearly showed he should have beaten Captain America. Without Marvel giving Cap the win cause he is Captain America Gambit wins. 4. Magik wins. Widow is nothing impressive and I agreed with that one.5. Spiderman either goes down like a true hero or wins by outsmarting Colossus.6. Colossus as Juggernaut proved more worthy and was more powerful on average then Juggernaut who constantly dropped in power level from being unworthy multiple times. Colossus wins. 7. Colossus easily.8. Daredevil clearly won the match. His heightened senses would be a problem for her telepathy and he proved he could defeat her in combat. Daredevil did defeat her actually. It was only a draw because he accidently almost knocked her to the streets to her death. 9. Could go either way.10. Current Angel with no experience due to memory loss and more loses.11. Without any obvious story reasons to not have Storm use her powers. Storm fries Panther.
comic_book_fan
Namor is stronger than Thing out of water, for clarification.their about on the same strength level out of water neither have shown up the other from what i have seen.
xLEGACYx
Personally I found it hard to believe for Iron Man to defeat Magneto while on Utopia (Asteroid M). With the diversity in Magneto's powers, I find it hard to believe Iron Man could win in a polymer suit. Magneto has been shown to be able manipulate electrical energy at times. He should have been able screw with Iron Man's suits power. Also the massive amounts of metal on the island would give him a clear advantage. Shown when he dumped a 180 ton column on Iron Man. In uncanny x-men Magneto manipulated a Celestial for a bit.
comic_book_fan
yeah magneto should have beat ironman. avx was worse then the marvel vs DC crossover as far as people beating people they have no business beating in stupid ways.

While there were some out there match wins. Neither were that bad.
comic_book_fan
No.yes spiderman beat 2 people who trounced the whole avengers team on multiple occasions just an issue or 2 before by goading them to fight each other it's like he was bugs bunny in that issue. comic_book_fan
Well I disagree with that. While there were some out there match wins. Neither were that bad.the only matches that were all that bad in the dc vs marvel was wolverine beating lobo and spiderman beating superboy on the marvel side. and for dc aquaman beating namor thats realy all i can think of at the moment. xLEGACYx
yes spiderman beat 2 people who trounced the whole avengers team on multiple occasions just an issue or 2 before by goading them to fight each other it's like he was bugs bunny in that issue. He wisely brought up internal conflict within Magick and Colossus that was already there. Then add the factor of the Phoenix Force manipulating there minds and the hunger for power rose. Spiderman basically turned a high tension situation into a volatile one. Spiderman didnt "beat" anyone.
C.T.
Stark and Pym built a weapon to kill the Phoenix Force. It didn't pan out as planned but the fact it even did anything is impressive. You really think he couldn't do the same for Magneto?
xLEGACYx
In the comic, Hope says she didnt want the Phoenix and she could feel it didnt want her either. For all we can tell from the comic, it pissed off the Phoenix for his interference. I find it hard for him to simply beat him in a straight up fight yes. Magneto is no idiot either. Also they had Reed, Stark, Hank, Beast, and Black Panther all working on this.

It took the combined minds to develop the idea and tech. At most it still only pissed off the Phoenix
C.T.
Yeah...and taking out Mags is much easier than taking out a force of cosmic psionic energy.
comic_book_fan
Yeah...and taking out Mags is much easier than taking out a force of cosmic psionic energy.yeah but killing a human who has at best a minor defence to magneto's powers is much easier than that.anything stark throws at magneto magneto has a strong defence for the only thing ironman has is a forcefield which magneto could probly effect and emps dampiners but they only go so far and would only protect his armor for a short time but the body in side would have no protection from any of magneto's higher end powers. xLEGACYx
Yeah...and taking out Mags is much easier than taking out a force of cosmic psionic energy. The difference is he didnt go to Utopia expecting to square off with Magneto one on one. He was fighting Emma and Magneto showed up to confront him. The main problem I find with the story itself is in one comic it says he is wearing a metal suit, while in another says its a polymer suit. Both comics referred to the same battle. ???
Guest force_echo
Magneto couldn't affect Iron Man because the metal fiber underlay is replaced by Carbon Nanotube. Iron Man would be able to take out Magneto. Hes long shown that he can easily make it so Magneto can't affect his armor.
