Indolent
I'm pretty sure the only thing you have supporting this is a quote BY Thor. In a Thor comic. He didn't replace magnetic parts to specifically battle Magneto, as Legacy said, he didn't even know he was going to be fighting Magneto. Carbon Nanotubes are just a part of the Bleeding Edge armor, because they're stronger than the metal network he was previously using.I'm pretty sure he's said it more often than once in a single comic. I never meant to imply that he replaced it solely for the battle. All I was referencing was his ability to negate Magneto's powers as witnessed in the past. Guest bigballerju
Ironman has talked about making a defenses against Magneto going way back to the issue in New Avengers where that being with all the mutant powers of the mutants who lost their abilities due to House of M tracked down Magneto. Hell even before that I think.
xLEGACYx
Does it seem plausible to beat the Lord of the Seas in the ocean? That was another thing I didnt get. Namor, which is stronger than the Thing, lost while underwater.
Guest bigballerju
To make it worse Luke Cage didn't have a problem fighting him either underwater.
Guest sirmethos
Sirmethos and I already covered this. It didnt harm the Phoenix. Hope didnt want the Force and she could feel that it did not want here either, This is the first time I've posted in this particular match. That said, AvX(the fights in AvX at least) is heavily filled with PIS. Iron Man beating Magneto, Thing beating Namor(underwater no less), and Daredevil stalemating Psylocke(to name a few fights), are all examples of that. Magneto is one of those characters that tend to forget how to use his power. Iron Man is easily capable of preventing Magneto from directly manipulating his armor(as shown on multiple occasions), but in this fight(as well as several others) Magneto seems to completely forget that he is capable of directly manipulating his blood as well(among a myriad of other ways that Magneto could easily win the majority of fights). Guest bigballerju
I agree I am not one to complain about PIS too much but yea AvX had some serious PIS for sure. I shake my head at how unimportant Thor was in Avengers vs X-Men. Once again poor fella hit his head on a rock and forgot his other abilities. The PIS balances out. Magneto could have used the blood trick, but Iron Man could have used his magnetic nullifying tech.
