The sensation is scathing. “I’m working on it Stark. But I can’t hold off them all off on my own. I need you down here.†“I’m attached to a nuke right now. But if you’d like I can stop by.†“Funny.†Rogers throws his shield through an oncoming wave. He then vaults into the fray, reclaims his weapon and begins beating the aliens bloody with it. He speaks in between the blows. “What about the others?†“Hawkeye’s on top of a skyscraper, Black Widow is three blocks in the opposite direction, the armored male model just got swallowed by one of those flying mecha-eels, and to be fair at best we can only sort of aim Banner in your general direction.†“Well isn’t there anyone else In New York who can help?†“Wellllll… I have heard of one guy. But, apparently he’s busy.†“BUSY?†Captain clotheslines one of the charging soldiers with the shield. He swivels and blocks an incoming shot. “What could he possibly be,†The wall of the nearby bank explodes outwards. Spiderman goes flailing into the air, then crashes onto taxi parked nearby. A hulking inky black beast pounces out after him. The Chitauri charge towards it, not knowing any better. Rodgers watches the result. “Never mind, I think I just spotted it.†Cap begins to back away. His foot presses down on a shard of glass, it breaks. The monster hears it clearly and swivels to face him. Venom begins creeping over the newly eviscerated bodies of the Chitauri and towards the Captain. His tongue lolls out with hunger. Captain looks towards the scrawny kid lying unconscious on the roof of the taxi. He didn’t look like he would be much help. Venom begins to lumber forwards, gaining speed. Guest skadoosh Posted November 24, 2012 Share Posted November 24, 2012 Venom wins as soon as he gets his hands on the super soldier, which may take a while, if he's smart enough to dodge and shield himself consistently, but seeing as there's nothing he himself can do the hurt Venom the symbiote eventually tears him up. Venom isn't on the same level as his own comic book counterpart either, but he still has super strength and speed, a lot of big, pointy teeth, and claws, and his web to utilize. Which means he's a bit more capable than 616 Cap, what with the stunts we see him pulling off in his own film and The Avengers. Captain America is easily intelligent and skilled enough to come up with a strategy to take Venom down. For example: Cap realizes he can't beat Venom by hitting him, and grabs a discarded Chitauri weapon. Then what? and he's far less skilled than his comic book counterpart, so i doubt he can win. There's no evidence whatsoever of Cap being less skilled than his comic book counterpart, and if there were, it really wouldn't matter. but he still has super strength and speed, a lot of big, pointy teeth, and claws, and his web to utilize. Captain America once he realizes he can't put down Venom physically probably grabs a chitauri weapon to shoot him with. Cap wins as Venom is left in a smoking pile of mess. Cap himself cannot beat Venom, he would need to be creative, use a discarded weapon, make something blow up, get some loud noise up in here, etc. It's pretty clear he's not as skilled as his comic book counterpart. In terms of fighting skills we only ever see him boxing, and it's never stated that he received any kind of training other than standard old fashioned military training. He does have superhuman strength and speed, but i don't think they are on the same level as those of Venom, who also has him web to play around with. You vote and it goes to the vote accepted screen, rather than to the "rate it" screen that Judges are able to see. That would also explain why Xenerack's went through, since he's not a Judge.
