The only thing slightly out of the ordinary were the announcement from NASA, regarding a meteorite which would fly through our solar system, however its trajectory had already been calculated and it wouldn't come near anything which could even remotely be a danger to Earth. We were all wrong, today wasn't an ordinary day, and every other that follows will be just as extraordinary as this one. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ If this snippet has caught your attention, and more importantly, your imagination, then here are the low down dirty details of the RP. The meteorite which flew through the solar system, has granted a random number of people from all over the world, super human powers, these powers are based on the words that are on the individuals mind at the moment of empowering.The group of players, will be amongst the first of those who have gotten powers, and as such, they are a part of the group whose actions will affect how the general populace will view those who have been empowered. The way this works, is that everybody who wish to play, post the titles of two different songs, and preferably a youtube link, then I will add some extra songs, chosen randomly from my music library.When we're ready to start the character creation process, every player will randomly get a song assigned to them from the overall pool, and they will have to figure out a power-set based on lyrics from it.The power-set will have to be approved by myself, my Co-GM and one of the other players who will be drafted for that particular role, in such a way that every player gets to be the judge of another players power-set. Something along the lines of Chronicle, if that makes it easier to understand. That actually sounds like a fairly good idea, I have to admit, at this point, I'm somewhat considering doing it a bit similar to my Genosha RP. Where the players not only have to create a basic power-set, but they also have to come up with a couple of upgrades, which of course should fit the power-set. Rather than having a character who's starting out as someone with pure super strength, getting telepathy at the next "level" it should be some thing fitting, perhaps super speed, or a limited shape shifting. Something along the lines of Chronicle, if that makes it easier to understand. Heh, not really no, I have no idea what Chronicle is. Maybe over-exerting oneself when the time or practice has not yet allowed such, would result in negative physical reactions. Again, that actually sounds like a good idea, though I could also see it be somewhat beneficial in the long run, pushing the boundaries of your power, results in an almost immediate negative physical reaction, but once you've recovered, your power has increased slightly. Anyways, I'm here and thinking of songs too. This is gonna be exciting. I have to admit, I'm not only going to randomly choose songs from my music library, I'm also going to pick and choose a couple of songs, that might lead to some interesting power-sets, so I'm somewhat pumped to see where this'll lead.
