Guest skadoosh
Voldemort, from the last Harry Potter film vs Loki, the Marvel cinematic universe version They are fighting in Times Square. There are lots of civilians around, and the police may get involved. They know nothing of each other prior to the fight. To win one must kill the other. They are both in character. Voldemort is armed with the Elder Wand, which responds to him, and Loki is armed with his Asgardian staff. Opinions?
Guest Hayesmeister5651
I could see Loki going on about how great he is then you hear "Avada Kedavra" and it is over.
C.T.
...Except it turns out that's just a projection.
Guest Hayesmeister5651
Meh, Voldy's occultism would see through the ruse.
C.T.
Unless Loki's occultism prevents that.
Guest Hayesmeister5651
Does Loki have that ability without the staff from Avengers? If he has no defense against mind control, he is f*cked. I'm thinking Voldy wins this. He has shown to have a lot more abilities than Loki.
Guest skadoosh
Heh. Excellent... Good points, people. Remember that they can get civilians on-side, if they wish.
C.T.
Yes he does. He showed that ability in Thor. And Voldy gets 7 films to show off. Loki has 2. Of course he's going to seem to have more abilities.
Guest Hayesmeister5651
Yes he does. He showed that ability in Thor. You'll have to remind me, I'm not sure what you speak of.
C.T.
I'm assuming you were talking about his projection ability.
Guest Hayesmeister5651
Nah, by occultism, I mean mind control abilities. And by occultism I mean Legilimency. Heh, occulmency is the opposite to defend against legilimency. Mixed up my Potter terms, heh.
C.T.
Well mind control by that method, probably not. But he is a sorcerer, specifically a master of illusions.
Indolent
Loki. If you're arguing Loki is arrogant and will enter into a tirade, you have to consider Voldemort is just as equally arrogant... and has entered into Tirades all the same... Which just means Loki lokis him. To Death. Then he has the Elder Wand. ERMAGERD
Guest Hayesmeister5651
Voldemort tends to get arrogant with people he has a vendetta against like Harry or Dumbledore. Someone like Loki, whom he knows nothing of, he'd dispose of quickly like he did to Cedric Diggory and many other people who got in his way. Loki has a god complex(I wonder why) and feels all should grovel at his feet, no matter who.
Indolent
Huh. Loki probably would do the same as there's really no need to lord it around Voldemort then.
Guest Hayesmeister5651
I don't know, the citizens of Germany held no threat to him what so ever and he felt the need to make them cower.
Indolent
But he was trying to rule Earth... context there. And the OP has them actively trying to kill one another - so me thinks that overrides lording around.
C.T.
He wasn't doing it to lord over them. He was passing the time, waiting for SHIELD to catch up to him, as part of his plan.
Peypeypeypey
I would say Voldemort, but in the 5 minutes it take for him to actually say the words "Avada Kedavra", Loki could probably use some stupid spell to kill him. Or destroy his body, at least
Guest Hayesmeister5651
He doesn't have to speak the spell to cast it. @Nova and Jaegar- True dat. Point conceded.
Guest skadoosh
the OP has them actively trying to kill one another - so me thinks that overrides lording around. They are indeed trying to kill each other, but they are still in character, despite that, so they may very well feel competitive concerning who the civilians fear more. It shouldn't interfere with the fight too much, though. Avada Kedavra Would this even work on Loki? Also, if Loki did somehow destroy Voldemort's body, would his soul be able to attack Loki somehow? Guest tomisntblue
Would this even work on Loki? I don't actually know, but if it didn't I'd see it playing out something like: Voldermort, "Avada Kedavra" Loki, "So, sorry, but my daughter doesn't want to see me today." Guest bigballerju
Good fight and kind of hard. Loki unlike Thor showed to have some of his magic abilities from the comics. Problem is we haven't seen enough from him and what we know isn't enough to say he could defeat someone as powerful as Voldemort who could win this match easily with any number of spells. Gone have to say Voldemort.

So, does Voldemort actually have any spells that would affect Loki, and if so, how? Loki has no access to chitauri? No, of course not. Good fight and kind of hard.
