corvette1710 Posted December 15, 2012 Share Posted December 15, 2012 Sorry if this match is too short for your liking, but I had a small bit of writer's block at the beginning of this and towards the end I had difficulty.****** “What are you benching, man?†Chester Cheetah asked Tony Tiger, leaning against an elliptical machine as Tony bench pressed massive weights. “Errrr, about seven hundred,†he finished his reps and placed the bar back down. “Why?†“It’s just impressive, dog.†“I’m a cat.†Tony was sort of confused at Chester’s wording.“No, I just-- ah, never mind, man.†Chester picked out a cheesy puff from his bag and munched down on it with a crunch. “You want one?†“No, I’m on my diet and it is grrrr-- fine.†Tony cringed. “You were about to slip up again, weren’t you?†Chester asked, peering over his sunglasses at Tony. “Yeah, but eating Frosted Flakes is a good diet, right? It’s nutrrritious.†“Uh, yeah, sure man. Catch ya later.†****** Erin Esurance glanced up from her file arrangement to a notification in the top right corner. She clicked it and was greeted by a shadowy face. “Mr. Esurance.†They had no genetic or marital ties, they simply shared the company name. “Erin. I have an assignment for you. You remember Tony Tiger, right? The Frosted Flakes guy?†His voice was deep and yet melodious. “Yeah, the big tiger, lots of r’s.†She nodded. “We have some reason to believe he’s a frost dealer.†“Frost? That new drug? It looks like cocaine, doesn’t it?†“Yes, but it’s not, judging from samples taken from both types of drug. It’s different in its mixing.†“What do they add?†“Raw sugar. In addition to making you high, you get hyperactive as well.†“That can’t go well. Why is it a major threat? You’ve sent this as a level red.†“Because he’s selling it to kids, Erin. This is what they put on Frosted Flakes. Their lawyers are too good for us to call them on it, though. They’ll dodge and weave every question we have until we run out.†“That’s... horrible.†She shuddered. “Yes, it is. Now, Tony Tiger will be at the gym tomorrow, like he always does on Wednesdays. I want you to go in there, and invite him to spar with you. Beat him, and then question him about the frost.†“Yes sir.†Erin nodded and Mr. Esurance ended the message. She closed her laptop and sighed, looking at the pink and black jumpsuit on the wall. “Duty calls... tomorrow.†****** Tony Tiger sat on his couch, a straw in his hand and on the coffee table in front of him three rows of tan-ish dust. He then bent over and snorted them all, one row at a time, and then they were gone. He sighed contentedly, eyes turning red as he sat back to watch cartoons. He’d laugh, then bounce on his couch seat, eyes moving continually from one thing to the next. His laughs came at strange times, his giggles echoing through his apartment complex. ****** The next day, at the gym, Erin Esurance waited by the wrestling ring, her pink and black jumpsuit crisp and ready for the sparring match she was doing today. She had to win, or she would never be able to question Tony... he was too intelligent while sober for her to coerce out of information. She was thinking about calling Mr. Esurance, as she’d been at the gym three hours since eleven in the morning and he hadn’t come yet. Now, it was two o’clock, and Tony was coming through the doors. He had to duck slightly. She instinctively took a step back, eyes widening at his size. He was built like a tank, but more top-heavy. “Jeez... I’d better be faster than this guy...†she muttered, climbing smoothly into the ring. Tony went over to the weight bench immediately, but began stretching his arms first. Erin let him finish before calling out, “Hey! You feel like sparring, big guy?†Tony turned his head lazily towards her, and she could see his eyes were slightly pink. Got a lock. “What?†he asked, eyebrows raising. “Spar. You and me. Come on, it’ll be fun.†She gestured for him to come to the arena. “You sure, girl?†He’d take a few steps closer, acting tentative with those steps. “Yeah. Get in the ring.†She’d back off from where he was going to enter, retreating to her corner. “You ready?†She asked, throwing a couple mock punches. “Yeah, sure. You go first.†“Alright.†She’d approach with caution. ******So, who wins? Erin doesn't look like she weighs much more than 100 lbs. while TONY IS A TIGER.Erin appears to be skilled at martial arts but her reflex time won't match his because TONY IS A TIGER.Erin is in top shape, but not nearly as strong as her opponent because TONY IS A TIGER. So it looks like the outcome is going to match the old lymmerick. A smiling young lady from Niger Esurance.Once went for a ride on a tiger.They came back from the rideWith the lady insideAnd the smile on the face of the tiger. On the other hand, Erin has beaten some nasty odds before, and Tony is impaired, and it's a sparring match where skill counts and raw power doesn't. I'm undecided. DSkillz Posted December 17, 2012 Share Posted December 17, 2012 Heh, good, interesting set-up, corvette. You know, Marvel Man won a challenge this year using Erin Esurance in his match. As for the match, Erin's usually in top fighting form when she's promoting Esurance or fighting off evil insurance minions. It might be a little tough going against even an impaired Tony when insurance isn't on the line, but Erin's still beaten tougher. Erin just might take this.
