C.T.
I'd just blast you with some air while you do that complicated move and render it moot.
Guest Dinsdale Piranha
IIRC, the visible trail that lightning leaves through the air is plasma. I suppose you could say that lightning causes plasma, but since the thing we call lightning when we see it is plasma, it gets complicated. IMO, you'd need both air and fire bending to bend plasma since you need a gas to energize. --too much science. brain hurt now--
corvette1710
Or I just bloodbend you still. NO MOVING FOR YOU.
C.T.
It's been shown you can still talk while bloodbended. That means you can use your mouth as normally. And that is all I need to hit you with a blast of air.

And my opinion is, plasma bending is impossible since if anyone managed to stumble across it... they'd most likely die. And it'd require some mastery of Firebending, i.e. being able to perform Lightning, and Airbending in order to produce the necessary gases... i.e. no normal Bender will ever be able to bend Plasma. If anything, the only one who comes close to being able to do so would be the Avatar and the Avatar can cheat via the state's knowledge... so yeah. *reiterated what he said to Corvette on Mibbit here*

Except to remove my bending via bloodbending, you have to be standing in front of my face.Or behind it! I'd wager that with a well timed freeze, that could be possible. Could explain Combustion Man's power, maybe? It's been explained as a psychic firebending technique, in the same general way that Amon can bloodbend without moving(or with minimal movement). In specific, it has to do with generating chi within, then focusing it through an overdeveloped "third eye".
DSkillz
You know, it's totally possible for metalbending to counter bloodbending. It's just that neither the metalbenders nor the writers of A:TLA/LoK have figured it out yet.
Guest Dinsdale Piranha
You know, it's totally possible for metalbending to counter bloodbending. It's just that neither the metalbenders nor the writers of A:TLA/LoK have figured it out yet. Because there's a fair amount of iron in blood? I think that if a blood bender and a metal bender tried to control the same person, it would be bad.
DSkillz
Yes, there's iron and some deposits of other metals in blood, but there's also a good amount of metal in every other cell in the human body. So, in theory, when a bloodbender tries to control a metalbender, that metalbender could in turn start trying to gain back control of his/her own blood by controlling its metal deposits. Of course, if both benders were to figure out that there's both water and metal in every cell of the body, it could become a matter or who's the stronger/smarter bender and whether the water or the metal has more mass in the body. Guest Dinsdale Piranha
IMO, the tug of war would not be healthy for the person in the middle.
Indolent
Doesn't matter. The Human Body is literally composed of more water than anything else - if necessary, I'm sure the Waterbender can extend her control to manipulate that figure - because Bloodbending just manipulates the water molecules in the blood. An exceptionally talented Bloodbender could probably extend their control beyond just the blood and essentially go back to... Waterbending in a sense? At best, the Metalbending would prove to be a minor annoyance and resistance.

Indolent
Initially, if one comes into Bloodbending, they are limited by the moon - but as seen in Legend of Korra, there's like three entities who primarily use bloodbending... without need of the moon. They also don't have to utilize much movements iirc. My suggestion for this capability is that they underwent extensive training, focusing primarily on this subbranch of waterbending - decades maybe as for the duration required. No problem DSkillz!
