Guest Dinsdale Piranha
I dunno. Look it up. No thanks. I'm busy enough researching my side of the argument.
C.T.
By Flash's own admission, he says he can hit Zum a thousand times before he even blinks. How fast do you have to be to do that to a super speedster who's already fairly close to the speed of light?

Guest bigballerju
Read Flash's fight with Reverse Flash before Flash Rebirth and after. Flash had to go FTL to battle Reverse Flash and keep up. I am very sure about that because Reverse Flash when he came back was changed.
Guest Dinsdale Piranha
This is one of those places where relativity gets interesting. At normal speeds it's fairly straightforward. If I'm in a plane flying at 700 mph and I fire a bullet that normally moves at 500 mph, how fast will it go? Relative to me it will still move at 500 mph. Relative to someone standing on the ground below us it's moving at 1200 mph (500 = 700.) General relativity is nice and neat like that. Based on that, you'd think that it works at relativistic speeds. If I'm running at 75% of the speed of light, and I throw a punch that would normally move at 75% the speed of light you'd think the punch, relative to a bystander, would be moving at 150% the speed of light, but it doesn't work that way. Even if the Flash is moving at 99.9% the speed of light, and throws a volly of 99.9% light speed punches, the punches will not exceed or even reach light speed. Special relativity is funny like that. Intuition and normal math are useless when you're at near light speed. Without a clear statement by the writer to the contrary the logical assumption here is that everything Flash is doing is still at sublight speeds. Lest ye doubt, here are some basics

Guest force_echo
Silver Surfer can react at FTL speeds. He once searched the entire planet in a second or so. Not only does that require going FTL without going into hyperspace (since you can't search for things on Earth in hyperspace, obviously), that requires him to actually react at FTL speeds to actually physically look while he's travelling that fast. Guest bigballerju
Thanks! I will look this up. What are the issue numbers? 219 or 220-226 I believe happens a good couple of issues before Flash Rebirth where the Flash Family battles both Reverse Flashes until Barry shows up in 224. Flash Rebirth takes place later on and was a important event.
