Guest Jason Redfield
*snip vid* ONE Jedi Master vs an army of droids. The N7's don't have a chance against four of them. 1.) The Clone Wars cartoon is known for ridiculous displays. 2.) You seem to have missed out on the fact that Windu had an army of clone troopers backing him up. 3.) Those are blaster bolts, not hypersonic metal slugs. 4.) Those droids were stupid. N7s aren't. 5.) Holy crap what is with the tiny text in all of your posts. Stop. *snip vid* A Jedi Master deflects projectiles without the aid of a lightsaber. Yes, large metal darts that notably travel much slower than hypersonic speeds. Guest The Lord Dragon Reborn
1.) It's not that big of a stretch. 2.) All of the clones died. 3.) Slugs are easier to stop than blaster bolts, no matter how fast they're traveling 4.) It doesn't matter how stupid the droids are, the numbers make up for the lack of skills. It didn't really seem that hard for Shepard to get overwhelmed and die either of my playthoughs of the Mass Effect Trilogy. 5.) I can type as tiny as I want. C.T.
Slugs are not easier to stop than blaster bolts, especially when they're going top speed.
Guest force_echo
The third point is just ridiculous. A round flying faster has more energy and momentum behind it, and the weapons of Mass Effect can put out extreme rates of fire because they're railguns. It's well known that the series frequently goes waaay over-the-top in its action sequences. No such feats are ever displayed in the films, which are higher canon than the animated series IIRC. If Mace Windu (and presumably several other Jedi) were capable of such feats, the fight in the Geonosian arena would have been a one-sided slaughter fest in favor of the Jedi with no help from the Clones needed. 2.) Perhaps, but they were nonetheless helping him at the start of the fight and some may very well have survived the attack by the ship and continued fighting. 3.) I'd love to hear your logic on this. Mass Effect slugs travel faster hundreds of times faster, are vastly smaller, and don't glow. In addition, they tend to be fired at a very high rate. 4.) Yes, it does. There are shots in that vid of droids literally standing still as Mace back flips over them. There may be an amount of droids capable of outweighing the massive superiority inherent to N7s in the areas of technological superiority, competence, and not being idiots, but the army shown in that video doesn't even come close. Also, on your second point, using game mechanics in versus debates is a no bueno. And, well, that's your problem. I regularly destroyed large amounts of enemies in Mass Effect, so clearly that means I'm right! /sarcasm 5.) Congratulations, you've succeeded in making yourself look like an ass.
