Match 13594 Afro Samurai and Daken vs. The Shredder (Mirage) and Ra's Al Ghul

Earth 5 in the Multiverse-

 

In the not too distant future in Japan, it is said in order to proof your the greatest fighter in the world one must wield the Number 1 headband. Whoever wields it will be the fiercest fighter in the world and shall possess godlike powers. The only way to obtain the Number 1 headband is to challenge the current wearer of the headband and defeat him in combat. However, only the Number 2 can challenge the Number 1, while anyone can challenge the Number 2, which causes a hell out a lot of trouble for Number 2.

 

Daken remembered the words of his former master Romulus as he made his way to a cabin in a remote area in the plain lands where the legendary Afro was staying at the moment. Daken had for many years now left the world of supervillain and turned over a new leaf. His goal had been to be the greatest fighter on the planet and through martial arts rebuilt himself into a better man. His father Wolverine trained him in everything his former Samurai Master taught him and gave his son his blessings in his journey. Daken now approached the cabin ready to battle Afro for the Number 2 headband.

 

" Afro it's about time you come and faced the son of the great Wolverine. This battle is long overdue. I want my headband."

 

Daken said with a sly grin. He may have turned away from the life of a supervillain that doesn't mean he changed his ways almost completely yet. From within the cabin Afro smirked and had been waiting for Daken. He had heard from some friends that Daken was coming to challenge him and had been training. Afro walked outside ready for battle with his newly made sword made out of the same metal used for Daken's claws. Afro had been ready for this chump

 

" So you the mother*vulgarity*er that everyone has been talking about? You won't be getting this headband. I need this for my own reasons. Turn around now and spare yourself the hurt. I heard you no longer have that healing factor either. You start this battle you gone wish you had it."

 

Daken smiled. His claws came out as he rushed Afro and went in for an attack. Afro shook his head in disbelief as Daken went in for a lower strike to ribs as Afro blocked it with his sword. Daken turned on his foot and spun as he went for a sidekick to the head. Afro raised his arm and blocked the kick effortlessly as he landed a solid punch to the back of Daken's head which sent Daken flying on the ground. Daken got up turned to see Afro with a intent and serious look now as he stood up angrily himself as he realized in that short instant how good Afro was.

 

" Okay I see the stories of how good you are Afro are very true. Now let's really battle and I won't underestimate you for sure now that I know your the real deal."

 

Daken moved fast toward Afro as before Afro could block the attack Daken hit him with a furry of mixed combos of punches and kicks that slammed right into his chest as he took a good portion of the damage. Afro realizing Daken wasn't just making this a weapons battle and would do what was needed at all costs to win countered with a attack of his own. Afro moved toward Daken with his sword and slashed at Daken with a series of techniques and sword attacks that caught Daken off guard. Daken and Afro continued there battle as a group of ninjas out of nowhere leapt from the forests to attack them.

 

" What the f**k is this?! Daken I thought you..."

 

Daken cut off Afro and shook his head that they weren't with him. Daken fought alongside Afro as they easily dispatched the ninjas with there claws and Afro's swords as they slashed ninja after ninja as blood splattered everywhere.

 

" I am not that type of dishonorable warrior and never was. I want to defeat you solely myself and the right way. It looks like we will have to resume that battle after we deal with our attackers. I will not have anyone else battling you for that headband."

 

Afro looked at Daken for a moment with the dead ninjas all over the place as he nodded he understood pointed at a distance to see two attackers observing them.

 

" These were nothing but lambs sent to a slaughter to observe us in battle. It seems our attackers wanted to see us in battle a bit further before attacking."

 

Shredder and Ra's Al Ghul approached as they were armed for battle as they neared the two men. Shredder stood silent as Ra's Al Ghul spoke.

 

" Gentlemen I am Ra's Al Ghul and this is Oroku Saki my associate. We are the leaders of our newly formed League of Shadows. Both of us have watched you warriors in various battles for sometime now and would like to ask you to join our League."

 

Afro and Daken looked at each other as they had already agreed without speaking any words neither were interested. They had already come to the conclusion both men being armed were not going to like the answer being no.

 

" Not interested. Keep on moving I am not interested in your assassin league. I have heard about the evil deeds you both perform around the world and that's not what I believe in. I got business to take care over."

 

Afro didn't speak another word as he waited for the two men in front of him to make a move. Daken spoke first saying his part.

 

" Me I am not so kind with words. I don't need you you idiots and your league of assassins. Now leave this grounds and let us resume our battle or both your heads will be rolling on the ground."

 

Shredder burned with anger as Ra's Al Ghul shook his head in disbelief knowing very well that was the the answer they would get.

 

" BOTH OF YOU ARE FOOLS! YOU JUST FORFEITED YOUR LIVES!!"

 

Shredder got ready to attack as Ra's Al Ghul took off his garments and got ready as well.

 

" Gentlemen I tried to be nice about it. Now your both going to die like my associate as said. Nobody turns down the my League and lives to tell about it. Killing both you great warriors would do wonders for League's credit and instill fear around the world once word spreads of your deaths."

 

THE BATTLE BEGINS!

Daken ( No healing factor. Wolverine has taught him everything he learned as a Samurai in addition to everything else he already knows. Metal claws.)

Ra's Al Ghul ( Has his own sword and League of Shadow ninja weapons. He is younger and in his prime from coming out of the pit.)

Yep, Afro is the one to be worried about. Without a healing factor, Draken can't keep up with Shredder or Ra's. But who kills who? Don't know. I'll go with team 2.

Heh, it's been some time since I've seen Afro Samurai in action. I feel pretty comfortable saying that he has everyone else in this matchup well physically outclassed. Ra's and Shredder know as much, though, especially after just seeing Afro in action, and therefore are smarter than to try to fight him head on. That's probably not going to be enough to take Afro, though.

This is pretty much my view. Afro Samurai is basically superhuman with his feats, in a somewhat subtle sense. Ra's has tons of skill, but Afro has skill and physical superiority. Shredder is a factor, but Daken can hold his own against him, I'd wager, at least long enough for Afro to finish Ra's.
