leroypowell3 Posted March 3, 2013 Share Posted March 3, 2013 Previously: to the disappointment of their fellow Power Rangers, Jason, Trini and Adam decided to work with the human Shredder, Oroku Saki to stand against to inhuman Shredders (Utrom, Cyber and Tengu). Saki has been systematically bringing the three closer to his line of thinking as they rebuilt The Foot. On an assigmnet, Trini fought with Angela Del Toro, the White Tiger and accidentally killed her. The Shredder comforted her with the philosophy of honoring a warrior with death in combat. In the wake of her tragic killing of White Tiger, The Shredder instructed Trini to return to the Power Rangers base and be with her friends. He wanted to test her loyalty. If she told her teammates of her accident he would still have some work to do to ensure that he would side with him over them should circumstances ever develop in that direction. Were she to keep it a secret, whatever the reason- shame, fear of chastisement or knowing that they wouldn’t understand- the Yellow Power Ranger would truly be the Yellow Foot Ranger. She trained alone in the gym area. Working the Wing Chun dummy and then the punching bag. The memory of White Tigers hard punches drove her to empower her own strikes. If her enemies couldn’t overpower her, she could restrain from killing them. “Hi stranger!†A bright voice called out. Kimberly, along with Katherine and Aisha had come into the gym. “We don’t see you much around here anymore! Hanging out with Shredder!†“There’s a lot to learn.†Trini said coldly. “So what’s been going on?†Kimberly pressed, holding onto the punching bag to keep it more steady. “Nothing.†Kimberly was stunned by the one word answer. “You’re awfully wordy today.†“There’s a lot to do.†Said Trini. It took Kimberly a second to figure out what to say next. “We should get together and talk about it. Hey, remember when Zedd first came…?†“Kim! I don’t have time to chit chat! Maybe if you took being a Power Ranger more seriously, we would have stopped our enemies sooner!†Kimberly drew back. “Well excuse me, anal girl!†But Trini wasn’t finished. “Master Saki said you guys were too weak! I didn’t believe him. But here you are, hanging out, joking around while there’s enemies all over the place waiting to destroy us!†“Well they’re not here now? What do you expect us to do?†“Go after them!†“We don’t go after people, Trini.†Said Katherine. “And since when did The Shredder become Master Saki?†“Since I learned that you guys aren’t up to the challenge!†Physically showing that she was finished conversing with them, Trini went back to the punching bag. With a snort, Kimberly turned to the others and softly said, “Why do I get the feeling I’m going to have to kick her ass one day?†But Trini heard her. “Any day you wanna try Kimberly, show me what you got!†It was a challenge and with Kat an Aisha watching, Kimberly couldn’t back down. “What has gotten into you?†“I want to show you just what you’re not ready for!†Trini was already in fighting stance. “No powers. Just you and me!†With no respectable way out, Kimberly met her stance. And they fought. Fight Parameters Unfriendly sparing match. Neither is morphed and they won’t be. DSkillz Posted March 5, 2013 Share Posted March 5, 2013 Good set-up, leroy, and a nice conflict between two friends. As for the match, amongst the original Power Rangers, Trini was amongst those that worked the hardest on her fighting skill. Therefore, she was probably the fourth-best fighter amongst the original Rangers after Tommy, Jason, and Zack. IIRC, we never really see Kimberly do any rigorous training in MA. I'm pretty sure Trini can beat Kimberly in a straight-up sparring match, but after taking things a bit too far with her oldest friend, Trini may finally start realizing that Saki's having a bad influence on her.
