Guest TheRandomBandit
Who here is getting sick of these kind of matches? http://www.electricferret.com/cbub/cbubbattle/show?mid=2195 All the time, everyday, every month.

Landon
Who here thinks thread titles should say something about the content of the thread, rather than saying something vague and incomplete like "Who here?" Anyway, I was sick of these sorts of fights immediately after the first Old CBUB Goku/Superman write-up. The nerd-fighting hasn't changed since then. If you think we're all a bunch of worthless nerds why spend your time bashing us? Surely you must have something better to do? I'm just curious is all but if I had to guess, it's boredom from a lack of FPL right?
Landon
Or I could be answering the poster's question by agreeing with them and stating the time at which I became annoyed with DBZ/Superman fights. But that'd be far too simple to be true.

treacherous
Landon's "apathy" aside, It's like anything, you've got to take the good with the bad. CBUB is a rollercoaster of good and bad (mostly bad) writing. Right now it is in a horrible slump (in my opinion), with notable exceptions (Caesar, who has been around for a decently long time anyway). As bad as it is, if you aren't directly writing mindblowing original set ups (to offset the stupid) or having poignant mindblowing conversation, then you really can't complain. There is always someone who comes in and shines for a while. If you see that, let them know. Give them credit. Nerd fight on that set up. Let people know what is liked. If someone writes an OMGWTFHOTSAUCESPAGHETTI set up, then comment on it. A LOT!! The only time any thread gets a lot of comments is when their is some flame war, somebody is on the road to banworld or DBZ is fighting Marvel/DC (which isn't bad, it's just overdone) or whatever. Someone writes a kick ass set up and you guys barely look at it. No comments. Moving on. Let it be known, "YOU SIR, WRITE A KICK ASS SET UP!!" Otherwise, crap will continue. I remember a time when Granobulax and I would never get less than 20 or 30 comments that actually debated the fight and commented on the set ups. I wrote working CBUB RP's and tournaments (yes, I'm bragging) that would break the old boards due to so many posts (over 100). Long story short, you're either part of the problem or your part of the solution. Regardless, crap will always be here to stay.

Marvel Man
Aaah, those were the days... We would frequently get over 100 posts and they were actually MEANINGFUL posts.Ah, I remember when I got over 100 posts... And when I got a C average. They were far after the early days, but before the Great Change. Those were the days when men could be men, a good rating was hard to get, and the background was covered in comics. *sigh* Nowadays, I have a 3.9 Average, the ability to heal any bad grade, and a blue beta background. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that (because it's a lot better than anything I could do/create) but I just can't seem to regain that old spark. Anyways, yeah the fights are the same. Still, I cling to hope that once the ability to add characters return, enough people shall return that the CBUB will rise once more. Remember, the CBUB is merely a website, it is up to its members to give it life, or let it die....
Guest KevinDWolf93
Aaah, those were the days... We would frequently get over 100 posts and they were actually MEANINGFUL posts. I was around a bit before the beta and got in a couple board breaking fights. Though to be fair at least a few were off-topic and there was a game ,when a fight was decidedly one-sided, where we could see how many agreement statements we could get in. ex:seconded, thirded, fourthed, etc.I think my personal best was round 8 in a row(eighthed). If there is one thing I would like, itd be more overall posting in fights...especially the good fights.
