At the end of pokemon gold/silver, he has the three starters fully evolved, an espeon, a pikachu, and still a god damned Snorlax. And even though my poor Jolteon has been kick in the face a thousand times for choosing thunder over thunderbolt, the rewards of connecting are worth it. Besides, that's only game mechanics. Within the first few moments of the fight, Red and all his pokemons would be transported to Limbo, which would either give her a win due to her enemy being removed from the battlefield, or giving her the win due to her easily being able to deal with them with her magical powers unlocked in her home dimension.
