Guest Shockwave
During Cold Days Karrin has been taught by Viking warriors about how to fight, as well as her ability to learn the truth of Supernatural events in Chicago and actually spin them so that the Mortal world would understand tgives her the win. Guest tomisntblue
How does thisas well as her ability to learn the truth of Supernatural events in Chicago and actually spin them so that the Mortal world would understand matter at all in this setting? PlusDuring Cold Days Karrin has been taught by Viking warriors about how to fightThat's cool, but it doesn't give any real measurement of her skills, just who she was taught by. But again, this isn't strictly a fight so her skills matter a lot less than they would in that case, I honestly don't know much of anything about Karrin, but her biggest advantage seems to be that she's a detective, and so she might better understand the mindset of the officer's holding them captive, and might have a better sense of the workings of the prison. But, I'm betting Jake's seen his fair share of prisons before. What Jake has in his favor is the fact that he's done this before
Guest sithisson
Would Murphy know how Harry gets into the Never-Never? I know she's been with him on travels through it. If she can somehow get some pizza, and she knows how to do it properly, she can always try to summon up Toot and his squad.

But, I'm betting Jake's seen his fair share of prisons before. What Jake has in his favor is the fact that he's done this before I guess I should explain more about the Supernatural truth line. In the Dresden Files there is a division of the CPD for "special" cases. It's mostly a joke to the rest of the team, but Murphy takes the job seriously. When she was the head of SPD (not the power rangers) she had the most closed cases as well as the highest turnaround. She's good at what she does and the only reason she lost her job was because she left her post for days traveling in the Never-Never for seconds, a major time difference that happens a lot in the Never-Never. In order to bring down Marcone, the Kingpin of Chicago even though most of the cops admit that with him crime's actually down, she can find minor clues and use them to lead to big finds almost all the time. She makes her own silver lining. She could probably point out flaws and even get the cops on her side just by talking with them to let her out to clear her name, or even get her hands on some decent gear to save her hyde. Guest tomisntblue
Thisshe can find minor clues and use them to lead to big finds almost all the time. She makes her own silver lining. She could probably point out flaws and even get the cops on her side just by talking with them to let her out to clear her name, or even get her hands on some decent gear to save her hyde.seems to be the only information relevant to the task at hand. Finding clues could help her in forming a plan of escape, but Jake - being a resident evil character - is fairly adept in finding clues to solve complex puzzles in his own right. As far as convincing them to let her out, it depends on the situation around their imprisonment. I'd say, for the sake of fairness they'd probably be in the same situation, which means they were eitherA) Both guilty of whatever it was, which makes sense for Jake who is a mercenary, but not so much for a detective. Falsely accused, in which case her convincing them to let her out is somewhat possible, but unlikely if the police holding them are at all competent or simply want to keep their jobs, since letting prisoners out is a big no-no.C) They're being held captive by some "evil" or otherwise enemy organization. In which case, there's no way of her talking her way out. However, in every case, there's an equally likely (assuming the same difficulty curve applies to each possible prison) of Jake finding a way out. As I showed, he's already done this before, for one thing. He can handle most any guards who come his way, as he is skilled enough to fight multiple opponents, super strong, and experienced fighting armed opponents without using any weapons. Plus, getting his hands on some equipment wouldn't be out of the question either, not after he knocks out a guard or too.
