Might be a little bit difficult for the Chimp to pull off a disguise. Then again he's liable to find a way that is so unorthodox it just might work. Drawing more toward the Killer though for now..

He could just go in naked and act like a normal chimp, no one would suspect him of anything.

Chimp walks into a party, everyone just goes about their business. A completely airtight plan.

They'd obviously wanna play with the chimp.

It doesn't say where the mission takes place. For all we know they're trying to infiltrate a zoo. Check and mate.

He'd see it coming, he is a Detective Chimp after all. Batman is only the world's greatest human detective.

Or we could be infiltrating a wildlife preserve in Central Africa, in which case Detective Chimp would be tranq'd.

Goes both ways. :)

If it's undercover, then the Origami Killer has this in the bag. Hell I didn't even know who he was until I reached the end of the game.

The Killer has the tools and has shown that he could do the job; however most are correct that a chimp might not be seen til too late as he'd be ignored as a source of infiltration. However I think it boils down to this: Considerably the world at large would ignore the Chimp until it's too late; however in our general circles that might not be the case. In other words in the world of gamers, comic fans, anime inspired artists, and the like who would we have a harder time of detecting?
