I still give it to Morpheus but this is probably the most favorable terrain for Po. His "luck aura of clumsiness" can allow all sorts of inadvertent craziness to fall upon Morpheus.

Morpheus has too much knowledge and skill for even PO to win by dumb luck. Morpheus wins.

Morpheus. Not only more experienced but give the nature of curiosity that exist in Po he might fall into distraction when the goblins come calling. Whereas Morpheus is bound to charge through such things and work them into an attack on Po.

It was kind of hinted by the first film they may retain a lot of the skills they learn in the Matrix since it has to be downloaded into their mind.

the most powerful version of Po is the Po in the tv series. He knows a lot more special movey type things and is easily powerful enough for Morpheus. For example he can a spinning lightning kick that sent a rhino flying. He has also invented new styles for different opponents, like the legendary 'princess style' for opponents bigger than him.

Po definitely.  He has the kung fu skills, durability and strength and speed to beat Morpheus.

Doesn't Morpheus have more skill and speed than Po? Strength and durability are sort of up in the air. I think Morpheus certainly has the prowess to take Po out.

speed, possibly. skill, not even close. Just because Po is clumsy doesn't mean he doesn't have skill. His favored style relies on that kind of thing. In the tv series Po has also done a hadoken-style fireball.

I don't think being able to fire a hadoken style fireball gives Po a skill advantage. Additionally Morpheus has mastery over every martial art known to man and is able to go toe–to–toe against computers that can move faster and are stronger than any human being.

 

I think Morpheus is just going to be too quick for Po.

He's been shown to tank hits and proven impervious to intriguing techniques like pressure point attacks and stuff though so I can see where you're coming with that.

Still, Morpheus has almost every advantage, his attacks aren't going to bounce off after he's been pounding Po long enough and it's not like Po can hit Morpheus all that much.

Eh, go check out Tai Lung. He's superhuman and Po lasted against him. He just needs to tire out Morpheus and Morpheus has tired against the likes of Agent Smith... pretty quickly.

Morpheus doesn't usually tire, Smith just kind of beat him. But as we find out, Smith is a whole different animal than anything else in The Matrix, other than Neo. Look at Morpheus' fight with an agent on top of a semi during the second film. That entire sequence lasts like fifteen minutes of him constantly being in action and he isn't really worn out.

 

Also wasn't Tai Lung's main form of attack using pressure points that didn't work because of Po's size? Morpheus seems to go for more direct force and redirecting a lot of attacks. Anytime Po tries to throw a punch, Morpheus can parry the blow and send him flying.

heh, let me say that again. I said 'he's a panda' as a response to magnmax's post where it is said he knows all the types of martial arts known to MAN. As for the previous post Po is alot about redirection too, just in a different way. And he could always just switch to a different style in the middle of the fight. Also, is Morpheus even strong enough outside the matrix to hurt Po?

All of the fights you are talking about happened in the matrix. Even if he knows kung fu outside the matrix, he still has to breath air. Also in real life he is a 50 year old man, in good shape, but still. Pro wins this.

He tired against Agent Smith in his first fight. Also that Agent I think was inferior to Smith and it was an open space - Morpheus dodged more than he got hits in though - in fact, he got help from Naomi when the Agent knocked him off the back of the truck, it was more of keeping the agent off from The Key rather than actually fighting one on one with him. Even Morpheus has stated the likes of he can't hope to win - though that isn't to detract from his skills but I digress.

 

Whereas Tai Lung, as I mentioned, is an incredible beast - he thrashed the Kung Fu Masters under Shifu with relative ease and doesn't only rely on pressure points, he relies on insane overpowering blows - which bounced off Po.

 

So you have to give Po actual credit, aside his being a Panda, you have to take into consideration the 2 movies and the show, his showings, and his actual training - he's definitely got a chance against Morpheus - Morpheus doesn't have all the advantages - Po has just as many against Morpheus.
