However when you see or hear people like Goku say "Thats enough energy to destroy the planet ten times" we can assume that it is legit.

 

No, we can't, the only time we can assume it is legit, is if we actually see said energy destroy the planet, the fact that Goku or some random other character gives a statement along those lines is completely worthless.

 

So if Whis says that Bills can destroy the galaxy or a galaxy, he can unless otherwise stated.

 

I suggest you go look in a dictionary, and find the word "Hyperbole" since you obviously can't seem to grasp the concept.

You call it wank, I call it Akira seeing dollar signs.  It will go further, this movie set it up for future movies.  As funny as it is to think that Akira is doing this to wank Goku, he is really doing it for the money.  No doubt about it.  I was really disappointed with this movie.  After a 20 year hiatus, I had high expectations, but it was nothing more than a typical DBZ plot.

 

Z-Fighters lose one by one, Goku loses, he gets a power boost, and saves the day.

Why is this bull, because you think it or because you think that Bills shouldn't be that powerful, jyst curious? I mean in DBZ there are a lot of people that say "Oh no he can destroy the solar system, but then nothing is shown. However when you see or hear people like Goku say "Thats enough energy to destroy the planet ten times" we can assume that it is legit. So if Whis says that Bills can destroy the galaxy or a galaxy, he can unless otherwise stated. But just like working out, you can max out at x level, doesn't mean each time you bench you will hit x everytime.

In comics and in anything fiction overall, taking the literal words of something is pointless and redundant as it will always change.

i.e. Superman at first was only jumping, then he was flying, then destroying universes, then just being normal, to then being godly to batman being able to judo throw him.

Goku was able to lift cars as a kid, then dodged lightning, then was able to split mountains apart by sheer force, to not being able to lift 40 tons, to getting hit by a rock (even though it was for pure comedy) and being hurt.

 

I never said it was impossible that he could destroy galaxies. I just said it was stupid in my opinion. but cute rant.

I get the concept of hyperbole, I also think if we start nitpicking every word, everything is hyperbole to a degree. Such as Spider-Man saying that Sentry packs 1 million sun's energy within him. Or that he stalemated Galactus.

 

I'm a believer that the writers leave it open to discussion so that they can add more issues later or make more money. I mean that is their business.

For this fight just based on what we do see, Vegito showed us his power, and what is not shown can't be used. Therefore Vegito may not be more powerful than Goku SS4

 

By the way the new Dragon Ball movie is pretty good for it being true to the buu feeling.

 

Also it does make sense that if cell can destroy a sun that bills can destroy a whole solar system with one shot, but he is meant to keep order so that's why he doesn't. He is not evil just essential for balance.
