Predator - No. He's not a protector by nature and his other agenda (collecting trophies) would interfere with his focus on protecting me. Vader - No. I'd worry a lot about his hidden agendae too. Marv - No. He's not powerful enough to protect me against some of these guys. Robocop - No. He's about catching the perps, and would not have the focus on protecting me. Dredd - No. Same objection. Wolverine - No. In theory, he'd be great, but the people he cares about have a dismal survival rate. Terminator - No. If he's programmed to protect me he'll do it to the bitter end and do a good job. Unfortunately, I don't think he's got the raw power to stand up to some of the others on the list. Batman - Yes. He'll give this problem the planning it deserves. You can't fault his moral sense on things like this. However, I don't know the circumstances. If this is the others searching for me, he could hide me effectively, but if we're all there in an arena, Batman will get slaughtered. Therefore... Hellboy is my choice. He's got the power to take on anyone on the list and have a good chance to win. He's also got the kind of ethic that demands he protect an innocent, even at the cost of self sacrifice. Plus, if he's on the other side, that's really only 7 trying to KILL me.I think I'd go with vader. The force is diverse enough to help him protect me against the others. In a fight, probably, but he's not gonna be able to keep eight other guys off you if they're all coming at once, especially guys with ranged capability like Vader and Dredd. Not fast enough. Guest bigballerju Posted July 27, 2013 Share Posted July 27, 2013 Problem is Vader is going to have a hard enough time killing guys like Wolverine and Hellboy with their abilities. Wolverine has the metal in his body and a healing factor. In one on one I'm sure Vader from a distance could put him down without a problem. But when you have guys like Predator, Batman, Dredd, and Wolverine who are gone have prep against you your in deep trouble. Keep in mind these guys have prep and can attack anything. They can gather resources, weapons, and more. Each has their own method that will make it hard for Vader to kill them. Predator, Wolverine, and Batman could probably with prep surprise attack Vader without him even knowing. That's how highly skilled and unpredictable they are for example. Hellboy's superhuman durability, strength, and other physical abilities gives him a higher chance of surviving attacks from the other eight. I do agree though Vader is most likely to win as well if he plays it right and would be my second choice. In addition if he has time he would probably catch glimpses into the future or use the force to know when attacks are coming. The problem with Vader is he really is a true Sith Lord who wouldn't give a damn about you unless your of some importance to him. One cold and bad ruthless son of a bitch if you read him in the EU. And his armor is capable of deflecting Lightsabers... so durability isn't entirely an issue for Vader. >.> And Vader can cut Hellboy apart and Wolverine can be choked to death. Terminator won't(depending on version) because I'm not a target.Predator won't, not armed.Batman won't, one rule.Wolverine won't, staying out of his way.Hellboy won't, not a monster. Now see, just disregard that and post according to the damn picture. Or at least if you insist on this line of thought, be consistent dammit. Then Wolverine could use his allies to find him a way to get aboard the Star Destroyer and kill you. He could have a powerful telepath use cerebro to locate where you exactly are and then he could find a teleporter to get him aboard the ship. The telepath would put a picture in the head of the telepath to let them know where they need to teleport too. Wolverine if he can't find a teleporter would go get help in finding a way on board. Batman is another one who could find a way on board. Either through magic allies, JLA tech, and or going to other heroes for help. Batman and Wolverine are the two who would find a way to reach you. Good thing that both of these guys have some of the best ninja skills in fiction. There's a lot of space to search, but they won't be caught. Wolverine will use his sense of smell to locate you once aboard. Once they find you, you're dead. The same man who threatened to blow up Darkseid's planet and figured out his codes for the spores? Yeah Vader will know someone is on board but he has to find them first. Even Old Obi Wan, Luke, and Han were able to sneak around. They managed to avoid being killed and get off the ship. Vader didn't detect them or notice so quickly actually. Vader only found Obi Wan when Obi Wan wanted Vader to find him so he could battle him and give the others time to escape. All Batman would have to do is get on board which he could easily do with prep and find you. Batman has a lot of resources he can use here and can formulate a plan.
