All Might shattered the entire ring just to defeat his opponent! Whiz: What did you expect? We are, after all, watching the greatest show in the multiverse! JR: Right you are, Whiz. You can only get this sort of entertainment from the Grand Cross-Galactic Budokai Tenkaichi. Boomstick: And up next is no exception. We have the magic user mutant.. um. Magik. Going head to head with the Pokemon Champion, Red. Whiz: Unlike in Death Battle, this isn't a random encounter. They have seen each other's previous match. Likely studying the other's moveset and-- JR: That isn't going to do Red any favors. Remember in the last round, Magik teleported her opponent outside of the ring. He didn't get a chance to attack and Magik didn't move a muscle. There is no reason to believe she won't try that again here. Whiz: True. Magik has also seen Red's pokemon in action. She could teleport them one at a time or just go for Red first. Boomstick: You guys have no faith in my boy, Red. His Pokemon are lightning fast and he's a master strategist. How else would he have become a Pokemon master? JR: I guess we'll have to see. There goes the gong to start this match. Boomstick: Red starting off with all three of his Kanto starters. Those are some big boys! Whiz: Magik doesn't seem impressed. She's summoning her sword and-- wait, what is Red doing? JR: Shield your eyes! A bright flash of light in the ring... What is going on? Boomstick: Hold... eyes... open. Oh I see it. Red has Mega Evolved all three of his Pokemon! What a surprise move! JR: Hold onto your seats, folks. I think this match just got interesting! _______________________________________________________________________ Magik VS Red (Pokémon Gold/Silver/Crystal) Each combatant will have respected powers and equipment that they can carry into the ring. Red is only allowed his six pokemon (Pikachu, Espeon, Snorlax, Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise) but is free to use them (Or Mega Evolve) all at once if he wishes. No outside help or influence. They have gained knowledge about each other's capabilities from watching the previous round. Tournament standard ring from Dragon Ball. Ring Out, Knockout, or Death all count as elimination. I don't see anything stopping her from just teleporting Red away though. I don't see why she wouldn't since Red is probably going to use all of his Pokemon at once. Her goal will be to go for Red himself I think. Magik can try teleporting him but I think Red has to step on a magic disk or something? Might not happen if he doesn't move. I'm not sure I like the odds for Red and his Pokémon. She is incredibly strong, but nothing I've seen tells me she could go blow for blow with top-level Pokemon like Red's team. They are fighting as a team and will get some hits in on her. Red would also have some full restores with him to keep his Pokemon going. I think the odds are even enough that it could go either way. These men are armed and presumably trained to kill, they can clearly see her and are actively fighting her, and yet they can't escape the disks before the teleport them away. I don't know Magik well enough to say if she'd do this from the get go or not. If she enjoys a good fight she might give Red a chance. But otherwise, my other counter argument is that she doesn't use that ability all the time. I've read stories with her where she could have just teleported her opponent but didn't. C.T. Posted September 25, 2020 Share Posted September 25, 2020 Yeeeeeeeeeah, I don't see this going well for the Pokemon...not at all. Magik spent her childhood in what was basically hell and eventually made all the demons there her bitches, eventually becoming the lord of Limbo. She's skilled enough in magic that she's been considered as a possible sorcerer supreme, has impressive mystical armor that manifests with the more magic she uses and has impressive psionic shields that even the likes of Charles Xavier, Emma Frost, Rachel Summers and others found it extraordinarily difficult or even impossible to read her mind/affect her psionically.
