HeyTim85 Posted June 18, 2021 Share Posted June 18, 2021 For decades Aladdin had believed that Jafar had been destroyed along with his lamp, but after hearing some tales about a volcano emitting a similar lightening strikes, sparks, and colors as when the genies lamp was destroyed, so he decided he must investigate it. Taking Abu and Genie he went toward the lighted islands many moons away. Months later he returned with a very dark lamp that was found in the base of a volcano. The crowds rejoiced at seeing Aladdin that day. A slight breeze swept through the gentle streets of Agrabah brushing the celebratory waste along the streets. Without warning flames seemed to shoot out of the sky to earth. The screams loudly echoing wake Aladdin, who immediately heads out to his balcony. A fire ball falling from the heavens singes the air beside him, narrowly missing him. Aladdin yells for Genie. Genie appears and proceeds to start a joke, but quickly realizes how bad the situation appears. Another fireball smashes against Aladdin, hurting his arm and hurdling him towards the balcony. Genie creates a rubber balloon that bounces Aladdin back into the building. Aladdin yells for genie to save the people. Aladdin hears a voice from the heavens saying “Creatures of the third planet I shall destroy your world. I AM EGO!” Aladdin rushes back to the balcony and sees the genie desperately trying to help save everyone. It seemed like such a hard task that Aladdin rubs the lost lamp of Jafar. Jafar emerges and before he can say anything Aladdin wishes for him to make Ego leave the world alone. Jafar immediately begins to grow into a colossal form and seemingly flies to intercept EGO. Pizzaguy2995 Posted June 19, 2021 Share Posted June 19, 2021 This is a more even fight then most would assume, Genie’s powers when he’s bound to the lamp are technically limitless aside from the three main rules: no killing, making others fall in love, and no resurrections. Of course the problem will be that Genie needs someone to specifically wish for him to defeat Ego in order for that to happen, plus the setup implies this is a freed Genie. In that case, Genie’s powers are by feats only planetary level (I remember him at one point spinning the world on his finger like a b-ball). Ego’s at least Solar System level considering he’s fought and even beaten Galactus before, so I guess he wins. Haven’t actually seen a match created by you before HeyTim85, would this be your first one by any chance? DSkillz Posted June 19, 2021 Share Posted June 19, 2021 Welcome back, HeyTim85! Been awhile! Some more dialogue and detail and it would've been a good submission for a match. One thing, though: from the way the set-up's written, it looks like it's actually Jafar-Genie going up against Ego. This is a potentially good match-up. From what I gathered from the first Aladdin film, it appeared Genie passed his phenomenal, cosmic power to Jafar when he granted the latter's wish to become an all-powerful genie. I'm not totally sure Jafar's as powerful as Ego, though. The best proven feat from either genie is when Genie picked up and relocated Agrabah's palace. Yeah, VS battle Wiki points out Genie spinning the Earth on his hand, but we can't be certain whether or not he was just making a magical show of it. Ego, meanwhile, has more proven and powerful feats. Besides, if all else fails, he could likely target Jafar's lamp and destroy it. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Since Jafar as a genie wasn't technically a choice I just included him in the story line. Genie was freed, which in my humble opinion gave him less powers, so I figured the team up would put them at a more even level to compete against Ego. HeyTim85 Posted June 23, 2021 Author Share Posted June 23, 2021 Since Jafar as a genie wasn't an option to pick, I put Genie in because in all technicalities this was supposed to be a genie vs Ego match up, and Jafar is actually a genie. Since Genie was free in this version his power was limited. To quote Genie after he was free he said his power was now "semi-phenomenal, nearly cosmic powers". Sorry it appeared misleading but as soon as Genie was free he technically is only called Genie, and is not truly a genie with all the powers. Jafar on the other hand really is a genie, which would make this a genie Vs Ego match. So while the picture is misleading, the actual battle of a genie vs Ego really took place. If I had left it as Genie the character Vs Ego, it would have been a much easier fight for Ego considering Genie's limited powers. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
