(Go read Nightwing and Robin vs Robots first to catch up on the Batman side of this story!)

This girl was good. Very good. One of the best drivers Bond had ever had to face, and she was able to aim while chasing him. “One has to admire a woman who can multitask,” Bond thought to himself.  Her car was faster too. The only way to lose her would be to create an obstacle she could not get through and Bond saw his chance. He rolled down the window and aimed ahead. He would need to make this shot perfectly.

A single gunshot sounded out in the Gotham night and then a terrific crash as the semi truck carrying a shipment of cars suddenly lost its trailer dumping cars all over the road which Bond weaved through. While Rally avoided them, this gave Bond the time he needed to slip out of sight.

“Damn it.” Rally slammed on the horn. “Come on May, let’s find a payphone, see if Becky can track anything else down on this guy.”

“Becky, you keep saying you need to consult this Oracle. What do you even mean by that?”

“Trust me Rally. Oracle is a good source of intel, and she’s got some help headed your way.”

“When do we need help? It better not be that ATF guy again because I swear…”

“She means me Miss Vincent.” Rally looked up to a dark brooding figure stepping out of the alleyway. May let out a frightened yelp. “What did you and Miss Hopkins see while chasing James Bond?”

“After stealing a gun and blowing a hole in my store he drove off and we chased him.” Rally found herself talking quickly. Being nonchalant with the police was one thing, but this was Batman. He was a living legend. “If you’re going after him, you’ll want our help.”

“Out of the question. Your amateurish antics resulted in a huge car wreck. You are lucky no one got hurt.”

Rally resented this, she had taken down some tough customers and refused to be called an amatuer.

“Look here Caped Crusader. He got lucky tonight. We’ve taken down gun runners, KGB Assassins, and crime lords in our own right.”

“Yeah!” May semed to find her voice at the sound of Rally standing up for the pair. “We aren’t afraid of some spy in a suit.”

Batman grimaced. “Fine, if you want to help I can use you, but no guns.” Batman said as he sternly eyed Rally’s holstered weapon.

“What the hell do you want me to use, strong language?” Rally pointed a finger at the Dark Knight. “We’re not in the habit of killing people. Don’t worry about us.” Batman nodded. He had worked with Huntress and these two did seem sincere about not killing.

“Alright, Oracle will contact Becky and give you more instructions. I suggest you stay near the phone.” Batman disappeared with a puff of smoke.

“I’ve got to learn how to do that!” May reached for one of her smoke grenades while Rally smacked her upside the head.

Bond finally had a chance to sit down and use a computer. The files he had stolen from Penguin were not a complete picture but they gave him an idea. Penguin was planning to fence the Lion’s Eye Diamond to a reclusive millionaire named Gray Mann. While that told him what Cobblepot wanted with the diamond it did not say why he had been framed for acts of terror. There were a lot of transactions from the Swiss Alps, but that was hardly uncommon in criminal endeavours. One drew his eye though, a payment sent to Scaramanga labeled Solex payment. The Solex could have been a world destabilizing weapon or a source for near infinite clean energy. The payment issued was simply from “The Demon”

“Well that’s a friendly sobriquet.” Bond thought to himself. Was this merely some scheme of revenge? Why the secrecy? Wouldn’t they want him to know who it was who had beaten him? Cobblepot seemed to have dealings with everyone from the likes of Killer Croc and the Riddler to the likes of Mr. Big, Blowfeld, and Luthor. MI6 would certainly like this information, if he ever found a way to clear his name.

As the sun rose, Bond opened the last file. He was exhausted, but he wanted to be thorough. This was an assassination plot. Taking place in Gotham. Today. The CEO of Mann Co., a burly Australian by the name of Saxton Hale, was going to be present at the Gotham museum to make a donation of what was supposedly a taxidermied yeti. What was most gruesome is he was supposed to be sucked dry of his blood by the use of a specialized robot after the deed was done. The Client was the Demon again. Hale was also supposed to have an ancient Egyptian statue of Bast he was donating because his dog didn’t like it.  He might just be able to persuade that charming Catwoman to help him out. Speaking of, he could grab a little sleep before making it to his rendezvous in Gotham Central Park.

A dark haired woman approached Bond in the park. “Come here often, handsome?”

Bond looked over. Although she wasn’t wearing the form fitting catsuit from the night before, he had no doubts about who it was. “I’m afraid the cat’s got my tongue Miss…”

“Kyle. Selena Kyle. How about you tell me a line I haven’t heard a million times already.”

“I should have figured with nine lives you’d have heard all the cat puns by now.”

“You haven’t told me who you are yet.” Selena extended an arm which Bond hooked his arm into.

“The name’s Bond. James Bond. Now about that diamond you stole. Why steal from the Penguin?” Bond was leading with this line of questioning. With any luck Miss Kyle could prove an asset to his efforts to clear his name and perhaps MI6 going forward.

“I have a weakness for cats. You could call it my kryptonite.” Selena smirked. “I’m not planning on returning it.”

“I wouldn’t dream of it. I just thought that the Lion’s Eye Diamond necklace might look good on a statue,” Bond gauged Selena’s reaction, “ and if in the process we stopped the assassination of Saxton Hale, that would be a plus don’t you think?”

Selena stopped “And what would be your take from this Mr. Bond?” Selena had been around too long to trust such an arrangement merely on good will.

“I want the assassin. I need to find out who he is working for, and I would like help clearing my name in the process.” James pulled Selena closer, “and I can’t help it if you have a certain animal magnetism.” Selena purred.

“I’ll need to change. I’ll need to head back to my place. Care to come?” Bond smiled and followed Catwoman’s lead.

Bond straightened his tie. As Catwoman, Selena was an expert on infiltration, she might even teach him a thing or two. Retrieving the statue was child’s play. Bond looked at the stuffed yeti. Who could believe in such preposterous things? He looked out the museum window and saw Catwoman opposite signalling him with a mirror and pointing in the direction of an unmarked van. That’s where the assassins would definitely come from. Of course, they wouldn’t come if their plan was thwarted early. Bond took aim at the window and fired several rounds into the air.

Panic filled the streets as people screamed that it was an assasination attempt. Out of the van jumped a burly Russian with a machine gun who tried to open fire only to have his weapon whipped out of his hand. Before Catwoman could even get a quip off a red clad assassin was hurling shuriken at her.

“Mr. Hale you need to get out of here!” Several aides were wrestling Saxton into an armoured limousine.

“But I want to fight the Big Guy!” Hale was wrestled in as Bond surveyed his opponents. Both were on MI6’s most wanted list. Elektra Natchios was one of the most dangerous women on the planet second to perhaps only Natasha Romanov. She was a top notch assassin and probably not too keen on being assigned to partner with her current teammate. The Beast. Anatoly Knyazev was not someone Bond was eager to face again. Their last meeting had ended in a draw as Anatoly escaped to Cuba after Bond had thwarted his sabotage of an oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico. Anatoly had no qualms about building a large body count to get his target. Seventeen oil well workers had died in Anatoly’s efforts to kill Bond. If Elektra was the equivalent of a scalpel, Anatoly was the equivalent of a chainsaw. Bond readied his pistol and planned to take full advantage of the surprise which he had currently.

Pre-Daredevil #181 Elektra (No-Telepathy)

Pre-Batman #417 KGBeast (No Cybernetics)

Roger Moore Bond (Bond has a semi-standard spread of gadgets. IE Grappling Hook, Watch Laser, Some hidden explosives as well as his Walther PPK)

Animated Series Catowoman (Had her standard kit. Whip, retractable claw gloves, etc.)

Another good set-up, Twogunkid. I guess Bond's experience must've allowed him to escape, huh? It also looks like the plot is unfolding some more.

As for the match, James and Selina might do best to avoid this fight. Even without his enhancements, KGBeast is still a master of several martial arts. Selina has also never matched up well with Elektra.

I wonder if Bats is gonna get jealous that his little kitty is out hooking up with Bond lol.

Seriously though I’m leaning towards the villains this round. Electra is probably the most deadly one there and I don’t either Bond or Selina lasting long against her.

This was the first thing I thought of when I saw this match. I don't like either Selina's or Bond's chances in this fight. Curious to see where this goes.
