Four District team made their way to the tournament proper. Let's look at who they are. Team Hero from the Sci-fi District! Team One-Eye from the Monster District! Team Conquest from the Space District! and Team KingKenCage from the Video Game District! They have been seeded into our tournament and matches have been randomly generated. By this point you should know what this tournament is about, but let's go over them one last time before the start of round one. Two teams of three fight the other inside our randomly generated arena. A team wins when the opposing team is completely defeated either by KO, Death, or Submission. Team members will work together as a team and as always, each combatant will have their respective powers and equipment that they can carry into the ring. No outside help or influence is allowed. And there is no prior knowledge of their opponents unless they’ve encountered each other prior to coming to Verse City. Which team will advance? Time for you to decide! Now, let’s begin... Peypeypeypey Posted August 3, 2021 Share Posted August 3, 2021 Hmm. This is an interesting one. The weak list is probably the predator. I would put Jack, Hawk Girl, and Iron Man all above it. Jack is arguably the most skilled of all of the characters here, but he's also probably the least "powerful," in terms of damage output and natural power. He could probably use his speed, agility and skill to keep Kimberly busy, but if memory serves, the Power Rangers have some pretty strong durability. I don't know if Jack's sword would even be able to hurt Kim or Luke, given their good alignment. At his strongest, Iron Man could definitely take Kimberly, but Luke is really hard for me to judge. I think I've been on record before saying Star Wars scaling perplexes me and thing that regularly kill or incapacitate even high level Jedi just don't strike me as that impressive, like the fact that every Jedi gets killed by just regular soldiers in Order 66, or Luke getting incapped by the Wampa and having to resort to tricks to beat the Rancor. I know that wasn't with his lightsaber, but if the force was as strong as some people try to say it is, he really wouldn't need it. I think if Luke were bloodlusted and used his powers to their max potential, maybe he could win by abusing Force Choke or something, but without that, Jack can keep him busy while Iron Man and Hawkgirl take care of his team, and then he wouldn't win 3v1. Couple that with the fact that Iron Man is probably the smartest, most tactically minded character, I'm thinking Iron Man's team takes this. I'd say the teams are more in line with their characters, i.e. not bloodlusted. That said, Luke at his best is very tough to beat. His best isn't ROTJ though because he was still fresh and kind of figuring things out. I agree that Scar is the weak link for his team. His best chances of winning a one-on-one would be with Jack, but that's only if he catches him off guard. Which that seems to happen to him a lot. He especially gets slapped when he's overwhelmed with multiple enemies. I'd still give the win to him though. Team Avenger needs to take the fight to the sky because it's the only way they will beat Team Hero. Luke is too dangerous up close and has almost no defense from further away (other than deflecting blasts I suppose). If they can take out Scar and Luke first, then they can focus on Kimberly. She will be tricky to beat because she is fast, durable and has good aim with that bow. If her team uses her as an archer for support, they have a good shot at keeping the other team off balance. Then again, they are in R'lyeh so she might not have clear sights or vantage points to fire from. Leaning toward Team Avenger. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Pizzaguy2995 Posted August 4, 2021 Share Posted August 4, 2021 If Luke can get close, his lightsaber and force abilities should do some big damage to even Iron Man. But unfortunately, I do see Tony cutting him down before he gets too close. Samurai Jack I think schools Kimberly in every conceivable category, especially experience, skills, and durability. The Predator might be a big deal in his own universe, but Hawk Girl by scaling should take him out pretty easily. All in all Team Avenger should take this round pretty easily. It's kind of setting breaking? We'll just because a Jedi and a Sith can use the force and can be powerful in the force doesn't mean they can destroy a planet like others could.
