The creators of the Grand Cross-Galactic Budokai Tenkaichi bring you ...

The Verse City League Tournament!

Preliminaries are now complete. Four District team made their way to the tournament proper. Let's look at who they are.

Team Hero from the Sci-fi District!

Team One-Eye from the Monster District!

Team Conquest from the Space District!

and Team KingKenCage from the Video Game District!

They have been seeded into our tournament and matches have been randomly generated.

By this point you should know what this tournament is about, but let's go over them one last time before the start of round one.

Two teams of three fight the other inside our randomly generated arena. A team wins when the opposing team is completely defeated either by KO, Death, or Submission.

Team members will work together as a team and as always, each combatant will have their respective powers and equipment that they can carry into the ring. No outside help or influence is allowed. And there is no prior knowledge of their opponents unless they’ve encountered each other prior to coming to Verse City.

Which team will advance? Time for you to decide!

Now, let’s begin...1624207843_1stAnnualVerseCityLeagueTournament.thumb.jpg.480c82080cbe8e0318679afae8b95679.jpg

[Team Ninja Clan] - Scorpion, Aloy, Raphael

VS

[Team Justice] - Jonathan Joestar, Lemillion, Scarlet Spider (Ben Reilly)

Lemillion probably solos to be honest. No one on the other team is fast enough to tag him before he goes intangible, and his speed when he's using his intangibility to increase his punches is crazy. Maybe Scorpion's fire could hit him because it's mystical in nature, but I doubt it because there are several combatants who can dodge/phase through/avoid the fire, and none of them have intangibility hacks as strong as Lemillion. At the point where he fights Class 1A, Deku is already very physically strong, and his class has 2 big fire manipulators, and Lemillion is able to easily overpower all of them

Let's not sell Scarlet Spider short. Ben has feats that scale him directly to Spider-Man which is pretty nuts. Spider Sense can definitely negate a ninja stealth advantage.

Jonathan is a buff guy who can do some weird stuff with hamon like his leaf glider or dislocate his own arm, but he is the weak link here. He relies on tanking hits and is ultimately an inexperienced combatant.

I think the ninjas will figure out Lemillion's quirk quickly, but will have a hard time tagging him. I'm curious though if any of them have strength or durability feats to scale to Scarlet Spider.

Thinking more on this, yeah I think I agree. Team Ninja Clan has no way to effectively fight Lemillion except for Scorpion and his hellfire. I could see a scenario where Scorpion either puts too many buildings or streets on fire and cuts the surface area Lemillion has to work with. The heat and lack of oxygen will also hurt Lemillion in the long run as well. The other way is if Scorpion can somehow pull Lemillion into the underworld/hellpit and cut him off from the rest of his team. Chances are slim but Scorpion is a much more seasoned fighter than anybody else here.

If I were to pair other fighters, I could see Scarlet Spider vs Aloy. She has the slim chance of tagging him with an arrow or trap, but in this arena(NYC) Spider has the clear advantage. Ultimately he wins that fight.

Raphael vs Jonathan would go either way. They are probably close in levels of strength but that's about it. Raphael is faster and more skilled as a fighter. As long as he can avoid hamon attacks, I give Raph 6/10 win. Maybe 7 considering this is home turf for him.

I could mix up the matches but anyway you slice it nobody has a better chance at beating Lemillion than Scorpion. And Scarlet could beat either Raph or Aloy in a fight so..

Team Justice 8.5/10 wins.
