This new Batgirl was good. In addition, she seemed to know everyone of Elektra’s moves before she made it. Holding onto the Australium was slowing her down. If she was going to have a chance  at beating Batgirl, she needed to make sure that it was taken care of. Throwing a shuriken into a fire hydrant, Elektra used the spray of water to provide a momentary distraction. She quickly tossed the Australium through the window of a now fleeing cab while mentally noting the number. Elektra readied her sais.

Cassandra noted Elektra’s stance, her opponent had opened the fight relying heavy on ninjutsu and karate, but had become more and more defensive as Batgirl had countered her time and again. Now she was relying on Akido and the offensive momentum was firmly in Cassandra’s favor. Even her opponent’s weapons had not evened things out. Cassandra moved in, choosing to let Elektra pull her close. As Elektra did so, Cassandra lashed out landing a powerful Muay Thai knee directly in her opponent’s abdomen. Elektra reeled in pain and Cassandra followed through with a pair of handcuffs to detain the assassin.

The Australium had gone missing in the scuffle. Elektra was not cooperative. Jim Gordon could not deal with this right now. He trusted Batman that this Australium was important, but he had an international incident on his hands. He also had the two assassins of Saxton Hale sitting in his lockup. The Feds were already working out how things would be handled. The Soviets of course denied any wrongdoing with KGBeast, but were still calling for him to be paroled to the USSR. Elektra was on so many wanted lists it boggled the mind and the DA was fielding constant calls for her bail to be released to dozens of people who probably wanted her dead.

Then there was the former MI6 Agent who protested his innocence repeatedly. He wasn’t talking and extradition had never been an easy subject. Gordon hated working with the CIA. They always made things difficult. He needed to focus on the present.

“Bullock, I want a beat along the Gotham River, KGBeast used the sewers, if the Australium gets flushed out to the river, I want it found.”

“You got it commish. C’mon Montoya, let’s get to it.”

Bullock and Montoya pulled away from the police station. There were worse beats, the whole Bat-Family seemed to be real worried about whatever was going on.

“You know the commish has us spread real thin right now.”

“He’s just eager to get the city back under control after being missing for a few weeks. Can you believe no one noticed he was some French spy?”

“Don’t remind me.” Bullock groaned. He was never going to get to live that down. “You’d think someone would have-” Bullock did not get to finish his thought as the squad car flipped over from a sudden and violent explosion. He groaned as he tried to pull himself from the wreckage.

“Hello! Mr. Zombie says we are a distraction. I say we are an American distraction! Hoo-Hah!” Bullock squinted in disbelief as a soldier in a WWII era red uniform fired a rocket launcher at the ground and launched high up into the air over the police station while a figure in an asbestos suit carrying a flamethrower chased after him on the ground.

“Montoya… the radio…”

Lt. Montoya stirred and reached as best she could. She winced, her arm had been cut by shrapnel from the explosion, but was able to just barely reach the radio.

“Dispatch we have officers down… and a threat headed towards the police station…”

Commissioner Gordon had just turned the Bat Signal on when it exploded from a flying rocket. The whole station was rocked by explosions. The Commissioner ducked back into the building. “If we ever needed a miracle, this would be a good time.”

In lockup, the three captives wasted no time. Elektra began picking the lock with a previously concealed knife, Bond slipped off a cuff-link and primed it for detonation using it to shatter the lock holding him in, and the Beast began straining at the door.

Bond rushed to the still stunned officer and tackled him. Quickly relieving him of his service revolver, Bond turned to the Beast and unloaded all six rounds into him leaving him a bloody mess on the floor.

“Sorry, I’ve heard too much about the American prison systems’s revolving door.” Retrieving his personal effects from the next door evidence room as the chaos of the attack continued, Bond turned to face Elektra with a loaded PPK.

“You are going to take me to your employer, Miss Natchios. I think I have a long overdue appointment with him.” Elektra mulled this over. Ra’s would not accept failure, and this would be a chance for the Hand to overthrow the League of Assassins.

Elektra regarded the pistol and the severely injured and probably dying KGBeast“You make a compelling argument Mister…”

“Bond, James Bond.”

“Huntress, is the prisoner secure?”

“Yes, he just went to sleep about a half-hour ago.”

“Good, meet me at the Gotham Police Station. It is under attack and they have some serious fire power.”

“Copy that.”

“He’s all yours Jeeves.” Huntress rushed to one of the extra Batcycles and sped out of the cave.

“Oh goody.” Alfred looked upon the sleeping Frenchman. “I suppose I can catch up on my crosswords.”

“Afraid not Partner…”

“Damnit these lunatics will blow the whole place up.” The front of the station was a burning mess. Rockets seemed to be raining down from above and this fool was launching himself using explosions. The half-dozen officers on hand all were doing their best to try and put out the raging inferno that had cut them off from the main exit while the vehicle lot was a smoking mess of rubble.

“Then it’s a good thing you have backup.” Rally calmly drew her pistol. “We aren’t going to make progress on the fire, so the best thing we can do is try and get out the rocket side and take out that flying nut job.”

“Does anyone have a better idea?” The Commissioner looked around and then saw an officer with a shiner forming run in.

“The Assassins in lock up, two of them escaped and the Beast is bleeding out in his cell!” Gordon groaned.

“Well Miss Vincent, looks like you have a chance to earn a big bonus today.”

Sorry this part took so long. The start of the school year is always a busy time. In addition writing for Cassandra Cain is really hard.

Sorry I missed this one. Another good set-up, Twogunkid. :)

Bond and Elektra definitely should've won this vote. They are already both easily skilled enough to escape the GCPD, and the Pyro and the Soldier's distraction only makes escape easier for them, even with Vincent assisting the police.
