Robin does need the disguises to change persona, he needs them because he's conning the same person out of money every time and the person recognizes his face. Sure, but it's not like that clip was an especially intricate persona or something Robin Hood couldn't reasonably do. Meanwhile, this is not to say that Robin Hood isn't capable of conning a broader audience, but he has mainly aimed to con Sheriff Notingham and his men, and in a time and a story where people were generally more gullible. It might be good if there were examples of Robin Hood roleplaying against someone other than those in Nottingham's camp. Better yet, let's see if Mags can produce them.
