It's easy to dismiss Ronald as a creepy weirdo, but he was an advertising juggernaut for a long time, so he does have some appeal, and he's already a kid's character. He seems like the kind of mascot who could sell a doll that appears like a shipwrecked child lost and starving on an island. Selling people dolls of unhappy children doesn't seem on-brand for Ronald.
