Comics vs Magna tournament

Newcomer, and friend skykorean got into an argumet over the parameters of comics and magna(storylines,no. of deaths,insanity,loser heroes,etc.)

 

We got the idea to try out some cbub matches to check each...and then we decided to do this tournament, first. This is similar to both perfect teams tourneys with a few tweaked rules:

 

Make two 5 man teams, one consisting of comic-book characters, and another consisting of magna(and anime if it has no counterpart or different enough) characters.Now unfortunately, for this to be somewhat fun and fair, there a few restrictions on who you can and cant use. They are:

 

*No time/space warpers(guys like green lantern or an alchemist should be fine, but Mr. Myx-really long name, wont.)

 

*No cosmics or gods(if someone like Millenium earl, maybe but, they can get their ass kicked, no "ony insert random thing" will hurt me. You can will get your ass kicked if thats the case)

 

*No powerful illusions or mind controlling(Abilities like Itatchi Uchihas sharingan or aizens shikai in which people are mind-controlled or otherwise put out of action without a fight are banned. Regular genjutsu or illusions are fine)

 

*No summoning minions(Looking at you millenium earl) This is under your characters own power

 

*Lastly: NO DBZ!(You know why)

I call Bullshit on this; the comics teams can have famous upper tiers like Superman, Wonder Woman, Sentry and Hul but anime can't have DBZ?

Yes... Sorry to bring u into this shadow flesh, but him and Skykorean both agreed that DBZ ll kinda be a bit too much overpowered. Hell most everyone so far has got kenpachi and luffy(not telling u to change, just saying) I mean, u really think Wonder woman will fare against SS4 gogeta?(Dont lie 2 urself, U know someones gonna pick that). If ur still not convinced Ive got two words...*fake word*.Planet bust.

Also, from my experience, there hasn't been a DBZ match that has, at some point, gone completely off topic.

 

However, if people are bleeding from the ears due to not being able to choose dbz characters - could db be used instead. Their still ridiculous, but not ridiculous-o-meter breaking ridiculous. General toa for example....

Thanks sky for taking over eve. Now its so far its pretty good for teams, but a few things:

 

Venom:Manga looks ok(though skykorean is the expert there), but I dont think I can allow godzilla or ashoka considering they started their run outside comics.

 

SKirmisher:Feel free to color your squad, though I wont have it mandatory. Also if noone else minds I figure I can allow strange and fate. Though how strong is non-virus cable and I cant find stats for supes 1m(keep finding kal kent)

 

Marvel Man: Sure go ahead and use a gundam, Were using mater asia after all.

 

Shadow: Hmm I figure I can have alucard, though like the earl example if he gets hit with something that turns him into chunky salsa he aint regening and is out of the fight

 

I know all:Spawn, and kyubi: see above example for Earl/Alucard

 

Lastly for everyone: No more copies. Quite a few people have luffy, kenpachi too. Kenshiros not too bad but he does have more than one person using him

Second, shouldn't this keep magicians from entering?

I apologize if this looks like I'm being a poor sport, but I considered several on Skirmisher's team, but then chose not to use them due to the rules. Also, there's absolutely no team here that could stop Dr. Strange/Fate combo.

 

Except maybe Tenchi, who I once heard was some type of crazy TLT guy...

 

Anyways, is it alright if I just switch Firestorm out? I've got a better choice.

In all honesty, I figured I would just strip That particular ability from use if its that powerful and he had access to other attacks(also for illusions I specifically mentioned on level of aizen or itachi where its insta win) similar to being invincible but u can get KOd...granted maybe u should directly talk to skirm if still not convinced itd be fair.

 

Also as long as ur fair I dont mind questions on other teams. In fact it be pretty difficult for just me and SK to grade all teams and have it be fair, were fairly proficient but were not experts on everything.

 

Lastly go ahead and switch out if ya want. Nothing has been finalized yet. Though I dont want any arms race with how can we push the rules
