Match 19198 Gilgamesh (Fate) vs. Dracula (Castlevania)

Recommended Posts

Gilgamesh vs Dracula

“Hear my words foreign travelers! For if you wish to stay within the glorious garden of Uruk you must first prostrate yourself before it’s one eternal king!”

The murmuring group of Wallachian refugees fell silent as they gazed up at the figure standing at the top of the giant temple, a man whose distinctive armor and clothing clued them into his great importance and strength.

“Yes indeed, the stories you heard were true, I am King Gilgamesh! The King of Heroes, Wedge of Heaven, the God and protector of Babylonia. No doubt you mongrels have all heard tales of my greatness and have flocked to my kingdom to find shelter and sanctuary from the great calamity happening in the North, correct?”

Many of the refugees voiced the affirmative to the King’s question, with several openly pleading to him to allow them to stay.

“Hee-hee, I suppose it just can’t be helped can it? It is in your nature to cower and beg for deliverance in the face of total annihilation. But fortunately for all of you, your new King is in a merciful mood today. I will allow all of you the chance to be apart of my kingdom, but make no mistake your lives are no longer your own, you are all now mine to do with as I please! You will work when I tell you to work, you will fight when I tell you to fight, and should any of you prove yourselves to be unworthy of my mercy, I will destroy you right then and there. Those are my terms and if you don’t like them feel free to either take your chances in the desert or go back to where you came from. Now make your choice quickly, my time is precious and you are decidedly not.”

The Wallachians took a few seconds to ponder this ludicrous offer before one by one they all bowed to their knees and pledged their servitude to the mighty Gilgamesh. All of them fearing his wrath far more then they feared enslavement.

“Splendid! You should all feel most honored indeed. From this day to your last you will have the privilege to serve the greatest King to have ever existed. Now my guards will escort you to your living quarters. Make sure you get plenty of rest, for tomorrow you will all work to earn your keep.”

But as the Wallachian refugees were being escorted to their barracks, a giant explosion appeared in the middle of the plaza! Many citizens screamed in terror as from the fires a giant face made up of flames took shape and booming voice erupted from it!

“WHO DARES TO OFFER SHELTER TO THOSE WHO HAVE INCURRED MY WRATH?”

As the masses collectively took shelter, cried or sent prayers to any gods they could think of the King of Uruk stood unflinching against this giant wall of flames, smirking all the while.

“And just who gave you permission to enter my country uninvited mongrel? Did your parents not teach you to show proper etiquette to a King?”

“FOOLISH MORTAL! These sniveling swine were not yours to claim! They all belong to me and I declared their lives forfeited! You will return them to me or you will suffer along with them!”

“You were very wise to not show your real self before me mongrel, for daring to insult me I would have had your tongue ripped out and then have you drawn and quartered. But to have the gaul to give me orders, to have me relinquish any of my possessions to a lowly mongrel such as yourself?” King Gilgamesh’s smirk finally faded and instead morphed into a very enraged glare. “Listen you arrogant dog! These little worms belong to me now! I will not part with a single one of them and especially not to some impudent fool such as you! And mark my words mongrel, if you ever come to my lands personally I will destroy you so thoroughly there will be nothing left of your corpse!”

The assembled masses could only watch in horror as the two near godly entities raised their voices at each other, all of them feeling the knot in their chests coiling around their stomachs as they realized they were about to be caught in the middle of a war between two beings with power far beyond their own.

“Seven days. I grant you seven days to make your peace and remove any marks you have made upon the land. And then I will come for you little King, and I will slit you up the middle and bite out your heart! But not before I make you watch as I wipe your precious city off the face of the Earth!”

Okay so while I mostly based their characterizations on the Netflix adaptation Dracula and the Fate/Unlimited Blade Works universe Gilgamesh I’d like to think of them as the composite Castlevania series Dracula and the composite Type-Moon series Gilgamesh. So basically any canon feat for each version of the characters is allowed. Who wins?

I think the thing thing that stands out the most to me from those videos is Gilgamesh's ability to summon weapons from anywhere, like some Endgame portals stuff, during his battle against Berzeker. I think he can use that technique to overwhelm and eventually defeat Dracula.
