Writers have to find a way to either power up a weak character to a stupidly high level, or bring a powerful character down to a very weak level. Something like what is tried in Fallout New Vegas with the Omerta group. I also like the idea of the alien thing especially if it can be tied into Memorial Day somehow. In other words a revisiting of some of the major fictional space/planet side battles but with new aliens or space groups involved. So say Zim being involved in the Battle of Endor for example.
