The Ultimate Duo Showdown

In a caged arena, the greatest fighters fight for survival for the pleasure of CBUB users.

 

They are given the choice of one weapon as they enter and it can't be projectile (i.e. no shotguns, bazookas etc, only swords, knives etc), but it can be a weapon that can be thrown (i.e. Shield, Batarang thingy etc).

 

I've just spent ages writing my next match but can't post it yet.... so here's something to fill in the time!

 

Which team do you think would K.O or kill all their opponents and walk out of the Arena?

Anyday and everyday.

 

Wait...No Hulk. Okay then. Umm...Wow, this is tough.

This is tough. Luckily, I have way too much time on my hands, so I'll break it down.

 

The Teams

 

Deadpool & Deathstroke- What a team. One crazy, the other genius. One's indestructable, the other kicked the crap outta Batman. One has a healing factor, the other's just deadly. Deathstroke's the brains, Deadpool's the one crazy enough to do anything. If Deathstroke can convince Deadpool to follow his plan, this team might take it.

 

Note: Do they have any prep before the fight?

 

Anyways, Deathstroke's weapon will probably be his sword, as will Deadpool's.

 

Batman & Captain America- What a team. Darn Culwych. Why?

 

Both are tactical geniuses, but could that be a problem? Anyways, both are great fighters in their own right, so they could go alone for a bit.

 

Cap picks his shield (duh), while Bats picks his lucky Batarang.

 

Ken & Ryu- No explination needed for this due. I don't think they'll pick weapons.

 

Powerman & Iron Fist- Man, what a team (again). Not only do both have a great set of powers, but they've been working together for quite a while. Good teamwork.

 

Fist might get a sword, while Cage gets his awesome 80s costume.

 

Wolverine & Sabertooth- Dang. What a team. If these two work together, they're one of the teams to look out for. Still, they hate each other, so that might shake up their teamwork.

 

Don't think they need weapons, but Wolvie could get a sword, as could Saber.

 

Scorpion & Sub-Zero- Deadly. Just deadly.

Ah Marvel Man, a good breakdown of what I have deemed to be my hardest match. I haven't got a clue who will win either.

 

Deadpool & Deathstroke- What a team. One crazy, the other genius. One's indestructable, the other kicked the crap outta Batman. One has a healing factor, the other's just deadly. Pro: Deathstroke's genius and Deadpool's regen. If working together they could be deadly.

Con: Deadpool's unpredectable, and they have never worked together so may be difficult to organise.

Pro: Have both worked together before and in a team, so will interact smoothly. Are both excellent fighters and tactical geniuses (as you said)

Con: At the end of the day, have only their weapons, skill and brains to rely on; no powers.

Pro: Both excellent martial artists and work excellently as a team

Con: None really apart from that they may underestimate their opponents. Do not usually plan attacks.

 

Powerman & Iron Fist- Man, what a team (again). Not only do both have a great set of powers, but they've been working together for quite a while. Good teamwork.

Pro: Powerful and able withstand quite a bit of damage, have worked together before and already have planned tactics.

Cons: Again, like Ryu and Ken, they are facing very different opponents so may underestimate them.

 

Wolverine & Sabertooth- Dang. What a team. If these two work together, they're one of the teams to look out for. Still, they hate each other, so that might shake up their teamwork.

 

Don't think they need weapons, but Wolvie could get a sword, as could Saber.

 

Pro: They're Wolverine and Sabretooth! Strong, agile, trained, regen, deadly and have claws! Have worked well together.

Cons: They can plan manoeuvres and tactics, but either can become unpredictable and enraged if things don't go according to plan.

 

Scorpion & Sub-Zero- Deadly. Just deadly.

 

Pro: As Marvel Man says, deadly, just deadly. They have a range of attacks that are lethal, have worked together before and are expert martial artists.

Cons: Ummmm...... Tough one. They are used to martial arts tournaments so may be surprised by the ferocity and tactics of some of their opponents (mainly Wolverine/Sabretooth and Cap/Batman).

Note: Weapons could be - Scorpion: Ninjato, Sub-Zero: Ice Scepter or Kori-Blade

 

All in all, this is going to be an epic battle and I haven't got a clue who would win (hence why I did this fight)! More opinions please!

For weapons, Sub-Zero would probably use his Kori Blade, while Scorpion would use his Mugai Ryu training and his custom Katana with the serrated edge. This combined with Scorpions entangling bloody spear attack, and Sub-Zero's other abilities and you have an unstoppable team.

 

Vs Wolverine & Sabertooth

Regen can easily be stopped by freezing a fighter solid and smashing them to a million pieces. So unless Wolverine or Sabertooth can regen like the T-1000 then they aren't going to walk away from that kind of attack.

 

Vs Batman & Captain America

As well, the Movie version of Sub-Zero had the use of an AOE attack that could easily get around Captain Americas shield, while Scorpion pits his ninja skills and Specter abilities against Batmans ninja skills and gadgets. However the MKers would have a slight advantage in team work, because the Bat/Cap team would be tripping over Bat's big Ego.

 

Vs Ken & Ryu

The two could easily slice through the unarmed and unarmoured Street Fighters.

 

Vs Deadpool & Deathstroke

Sub-Zero would have to take on Deadpool to try and freeze him to counter his Regen. So that would mean that Scorpion would have to deal with Deathstroke alone. Deathstroke would probably pick a Metal Staff for the fight since he probably wouldn't be able to bring his signature weapon the power staff. After a hard fight between them I would say that Deathstroke would win, but Sub-Zero would get him once finished with Deadpool.

 

Vs Powerman & Iron Fist

Not too sure about what would happen with Powerman & Iron Fist though...

No, sub-Zero and Scorpion wouldn't be surprised by the ferocity of their oppenents. Where did you get that idea?

Iron Fist is probably the best fighter, but Batman and Cap could take him with prep time.

 

Deadpool and Deathstroke I don't see working because Wade will not follow Slade.

 

Wolvie's healing will make him impossible to kill by everyone he's fighting except for Sub-Zero, and that is assuming he has the ability to flash freeze molecules.

 

Sub-Zero is a big threat, everybody goes after him, meaning he gets overwhelmed.

 

Ken and Ryu are lost somewhere in the struggle. Deadpool probably shoots them dead.
